Looks like APC does everything they can to entice the customers to toss the unit in the garbage and buy a new one when in fact they should promote recycling.
1- The unit BN650M1 has a clip on the black wire making it very difficult to remove.
2- Finding proper replacement part on the Internet is not easy for this product
3- The return of the old battery in the same packaging should be easier but you fail to provide proper info and I had to search for a special disposal locally.
I am extremely disappoint by APC failure to assume their duty in this extremely important environmental matter.

In the past I was able to return the old battery to APC to recycle. I'm a bit disappointed that the recycle option is no longer available, so that'll cost you a couple of stars...

APC batteries last longer than off-brand batteries. The shipping is inexpensive and they ship quickly. The batteries are heavy and APC uses multiple layers of corrugated cardboard to avoid damage in shipping.
