This is a great product to use anywhere in the house. Nice flat plug and plenty of outlets. Use the product in shop to power battery chargers for my drills. Easy to install on wall

Surge Suppressor Outlet Strip Has Nice Features

This Surge Suppressor Outlet Strip has the power cord exit the rear while the On / Off Switch is located in the front, which makes it ideal for being located in a multimedia cabinet. With the cord located at the rear the cord can exit the cabinet with less than six inches of the cord inside the cabinet. That means less clutter of wiring. With the On / Off switch in the front, it makes it easy to reach in the cabinet to turn on your multimedia system. The only thing I found peculiar was that in the picture on the box the middle LED is labeled "Fault", but on the power strip I received it is labeled "Grounded". Since the LED is Red in color, it make sense that it shouldn't be lit with a properly wired outlet, and that is the case, but to rename the LED "Grounded" is a bit confusing, because a properly grounded outlet strip would be better represented by a Green LED which stays on. I contacted the manufacturer about the LED and they confirmed that the RED LED should be off, and that it still represents a fault wien lit even if the LED is not actually labeled "Fault" anymore.

This (and the apparently identical SUPER8) and the 6-outlet SPIKESTIK are the only outlet strips on the market where the cord comes in at the opposite end from the power switch. You don't have to reach over all the cords to reach the switch! Very convenient.
