I purchased a HP Thunderbolt 4 180W G6 dock for use with and HP Probook 450 15.6 G9 laptop. I have Windows 11 with updates current thru 11/13/2025. My laptop will not restart/reboot if connected to the Dock. I must disconnect from the Dock to restart and only after it is completely booted up and running can I connect it back to the dock. I bought the G6 to replace a G4 but it did not cure the problem. I assume there must be a small piece of code on the Dock or lacking that is causing this problem
Love how many options there are for the dock. I am able to plug in my 32inch monitor, laptop, wireless keyboards & mouse, laptop cooler. Updates are easy, and no issues so far. Makes my set up perfect!
Nice small footprint, easy connectivity. Good looking formfactor compared to normal blocky docks. Initial usage was a bit clunky with three external monitors. Sometimes one of the monitors would not receive signal, it could be seen within windows but it would not receive any video output, but it seems that the latest firmware has resolved that issue. Since last firmware update that issue has not presented itself again.
