Belt Sticks - Not Safe for Use

We set up the unit to use as an under the desk treadmill - haven’t put the arms on the unit to use in it’s unfolded state so I can’t speak to how it works in this way. The lever to secure the unit in its unfolded state is also extremely tight and can’t be closed. There is a section in the manual to explain how to loosen it but the photos don’t seem to correspond with the unit so we can’t use it safely in this state. The unit was easy to turn on and use with the remote though.
We will be returning the unit as the belt appears to stick or pause while in use. We have lubricated the unit, as suggested by the instruction manual, but this hasn’t made a difference. It’s a safety hazard if a person can’t walk smoothly or continuously.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
