In the 1st month, separate incidents, both the mother board (BIOS not updating), and the keyboard (several keys were not functioning, space bar severely impacted usability) had to be replaced.

Quality is good, but has much plastic trim which will probably break down too soon.
Not as good quality as original ThinkPad cases (ThinkPads have been around 30 years!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this laptop. I also have a year old legion which is powerful but not portable. This thinkpad is like having an iPad, which I had been using in lieu of a portable laptop the last few years. I can’t explain how much I love it. It’s so thin and light. It’s very powerful. I haven’t tried to test the battery life or even put it in the energy efficiency mode - it’s just been in balanced mode - as that’s been good enough. Its specs were great. 32gb ram. AMD 7840U cpu with its associated gpu. 1tb SSD. 400 or 500 nits screen. Privacy shutter. Backlit keyboard. Ethernet jack. 14” screen which is what I wanted. I don’t think I could have picked a better or more desirable laptop. It’s powerful enough to play GTAV on it albeit with lower pic quality. Def isn’t like playing on my legion but it’s portable! And playable! And I used the $60 lenovo bucks I earned to buy the latest 14” thinkpad case, which is perfect too. Couldn’t be happier overall.
