The battery cannot hang.

The watch and software experience seem really solid. However, it's unusable for what it's advertised to do. The battery barely makes it through half of the day. With pretty much everything turned off. No sleep tracking is possible it would die need to charge before bed and probably be dead before I woke up. I've had better battery life from every other smart watch I've ever owned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible Battery life. Even with most of the settings off such as "Always on display" "Location" "Vibrate" instead of sound, the battery doesn't even last the whole day from full 10% charge

Good watch, but with a problem for diabetics
on July 31, 2024

I bought new Galaxy Watch 7 44mm from the Samsung Store, but it will not work with the Abbott Freestyle Libre 3 Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM). This is apparently due to a substantial upgrade to the watch cpu. The Libre 3 worked with the previous Galaxy Watch models, showing the Libre 3 readout on the watch face. This was the reason I bought the Galaxy Watch 7. Now I need to wait in hope that Samsung, Abbott, or a 3rd party will develop a solution. When and if this is fixed by someone, or a work around is provided, then my review rating will be much higher.

Hey Mreilly. Thanks for sharing your feedback on the Galaxy Watch7. We're glad to see that you are enjoying your watch overall despite the fact that one of your health monitoring apps is compatible at this time. In cases like these, it's best to reach out to the application developer for updates. We hope you've had a chance to check out the body composition measurement feature on your watch. A Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) sensor measures your body's composition using just your fingertips. Set your targets for weight, body fat and muscle mass, and personalize programs to reach your health goals with accuracy. If you have any further concerns or questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin

Overall very happy

It has done a great job tracks steps and monitoring my oxygen level and pulse.it is comfortable to wear when active and sleeping. What I am not thrilled with is that it does not necessarily communicate with the app on my phone accurately without opening the app on the watch. Overall I am happy with the upgrade from the Active 2.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Terrible battery life

I bought this about a month ago, and wish I could trade it in. I highly regret trading in my S5 watch. I want to trade in the S7 for cash towards the ultra, but have not found away because I dislike this watch so much.

Very limited LTE

The watch is great if it's connected to your phone via Bluetooth. Other than texts there's effectively no LTE data capability though. The watch overheated all 3 times I tried streaming a podcast on a walk without my phone. Calls out of phone range kill the battery.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on the Galaxy Watch7, Zach. We always love hearing from you! If you have an LTE smartwatch model, there are several reasons why it may not activate or may disconnect from your mobile network after pairing it with a new phone. Check out the link attached for options to help troubleshoot this. Whether you're using a phone, tablet, smartwatch, or earbuds, all Galaxy devices have a set temperature range, where they operate at their best. While they may feel warm under certain conditions, like charging, this does not affect the device's lifespan or performance. However, if your devices get too warm, it could cause some issues. We've also attached a link to help troubleshoot this as well. If any of what you are experiencing continues, please reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin

Amazing with only 1 issue
on March 29, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy 7 watch is perfect for visually looking great. Bands to suit your outfits. Apps that work seamlessly with eachother. Easy to adapt to your phone and no issues with hearing calls or monitoring your phone with it still in your pocket. I love all the features the watch has, and Im a big supporter of the style they used for these as a man who doesn't see himself wearing an oversized watch. This is a perfect size for me. My only concern and it is one I can't look past as it also keeps me from using the watch anymore. Is the very limited battery life. I am getting the Ultra next as it promotes a more lasting battery to make the watch useable for a full day, no matter if the day runs long and or if I use the watch to its fullest extent throughout the day. I can't speak enough on how unfortunate it is that the Watch 7 has such a limited battery. Who can buy a watch that only tells the time a partial amount of your day. When you wake up early, and put in a long 12 to 14 hour day at work, and you go to look at your watch after your done showering etc... to see if your gonna have time to watch a movie and unwind before bed. Only to see it has died at somepoint and you likely missed calls because your phones been on silent all day at work. It creates a problem. Anyways. wish I could say it was great as I am a diehard Samsung guy and so is my family. But they slipped up a bit this go around.
