Not a great watch for fitness

I've had this watch for a little less than a month. I upgraded from a 4 so I was hoping for some noticeable improvements. So far the battery has yet to last me a day and half. I got this watch mainly for my health and sleep stats and insights. The heart rate seems to be inaccurate during every single workout. It will say my heart rate will be in the lower 100s during an intense cardio workout, but then spike up when I am sitting on the ground after the workout. It also doesnt auto detect workouts. I did an hour workout and it didnt auto detect a thing, but somehow auto detected "walking" when I was folding laundry. The step count also seems inaccurate since I've been getting a considerable less amount of steps a day even though my routine hasn't changed. The sleep stats seem great. I had a whoop for years so it's nice to have hrv in this watch and an energy score. Overall it's meh. Would love a more accurate fitness centered watch.

Hey Janey, thank you for sharing your honest feedback about the Watch7. The latest Samsung smartwatches are great for runners, offering excellent health and fitness tracking features. If you enjoy off-road running, the Galaxy Watch Ultra with its high-precision GPS system, military-grade design, and emergency safety siren might be the best choice for you. On the other hand, if you prefer road running, the less rugged Galaxy Watch7 would be perfect. We understand your concerns about the step counter, auto-detection, and battery life. If you are experiencing shorter battery life on your watch, we want to make sure that your watch is up to date with the latest software. From your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app. Depending on your watch, you will either tap Watch settings or tap SETTINGS tab. Then, tap About watch, and then tap Update watch software. Or, tap About Gear, and then tap Update Gear software. Check out the link attached to help troubleshoot your step counter and fitness trackers. If this persists, please reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin

Poor battery. Where is my watch band?
on August 20, 2024

I like all of the health monitoring features, but when I have everything turned on the watch must be charged every single day. The movement prompt does not seem to sense movement, often telling me that it is time to move when I am already walking around or when I have just sat down.
One month after delivery and the dark gray sport band that was supposed to come with my watch is still not in stock. The free athleisure band is not a good color for a men's watch band. If Samsung cared about their customers, they would let people choose which free band instead of the ugly silver band I received.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated! We see that you reached out to let us know about the Watch7. If you are experiencing shorter battery life on your watch, we recommend making sure that your watch's software is up to date with the latest software available. Software updates are like oil changes and tune-ups for your phone or tablet - they keep things running smoothly. They also help improve the user interface, enhance security, and remove minor bugs. Check out the link attached for help with your watch step-tracking feature. If any of this persists, please reach out to us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin

Grade improvement upon the previous generation
on August 20, 2024
Posted by: GalaxyWatchHealthFan
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously had The Galaxy watch 6 classic that I loved. Great aesthetics and the bezel was useful. I have AFib so the health features were nice. I upgraded to this version for the additional health features and new sensors. I was concerned that battery usage was going to be an issue however I'm guessing it's the new chip but the battery lasts longer and the health sensors and interface have improved significantly. I am extremely pleased with this watch. Samsung was very generous with the trade-in for the watch six classic and if not for that, I would not have been able to upgrade. The Galaxy AI features the watch uses for the health analysis are really impressive. Overall this watch is definitely highly recommended.

Been using this for a few weeks now. Had the Galaxy Watch 4. I upgraded because of a generous trade in allowance on my old watch. The watch looks good and is very comfortable to wear all day. The battery life is very good. The watch is more responsive to swipes and taps than my previous one. The health monitoring seems to work well. I have tried sleep tracking and other features and they seem very accurate. The price was the main reason for me to upgrade and I'm not disappointed!
I would recommend this to a friend!

One of the best smart watches on the market
on August 21, 2024
Posted by: BigASamsungFan
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had Samsung smart watches since the beginning (Samsung Gear). The Watch 7 is the best refinement of it. The batter life is great, I get a solid two days from it and that is wearing it when I sleep. Speaking of which, the sleep coaching has helped me with my sleep and also flagged me with potential sleep apnea. Not only does the watch help me with my notifications, but the health tracking is phenomenal. So much so, I plan on getting the Galaxy Ring in the future as they work in tandem.

Terrible battery

I updated to the watch 7 because my watch 6 was becoming laggy. The battery on the watch 7 is horrbile!! It barely lasts a day. There was an update to the watch that made the battery worse than it was. I wish I kept my watch 6.
