Save your money. I know a number of people that bought the "kit" with the flex shaft. If it worked at all, which mine didn't, it didn't last. Save your money and just buy the too, the flex shaft is junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

spindle broke 13 months

I like using the flex shaft though and not happy that is broke at the 13 month mark (warranty is only good for 12 months) the inside spindle snapped inside the handle at the collar. This made the flex shaft unusable and made my bit nearly impossible to remove. Disappointed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I expected a lot… this exceeded all expectations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was building a guitar for the first time. Minimal tools. Zero experience other than having played for years. My Dremel was used in almost everything, but I needed a finer detail than I could get holding the Dremel in hand. My world changed with the flex shaft. The detail I was able to achieve was ONLY limited by ‘me’. I was amazed at just how versatile it was, and how incredibly precisely it could be used. I had no idea how much 1) better, and 2) easier everything became. Whether shaping or contouring wood, or polishing metal - the possibilities are again only limited by the person holding the tool.
I was overjoyed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Working with a dremel is great for working on small jobs but sometimes it can feel a little bulky. I love using the flex shaft when I need max precision. It screws in place easily on my 4000 and let's me get to work on delicate jobs right away.

Makes carving alot easier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m inside my shop more often than not and while it’s comfortable, sometimes I want to get out and relax on my porch without having to handle the big tool, especially when it’s a walking stick that requires mobility and flexibility. This is a staple in my shop and makes my job more enjoyable and more stress free! Thanks Dremel!
