Great printer for small business/heavy home use

Having owned printers from Canon, Epson and HP (and having multiple problems within a year that made them effectively useless), I decided to try Brother brand products. I've owned this printer for a few months now and do a fair amount of color printing and a LOT of scanning. From the very first use, I've been impressed by it's speed and simplicity. Unlike the other printers, the auto-feed mechanism just work.. no jamming, no misfeeds and they are FAST. Printing is very fast, even double-sided which I do a lot of. While I wouldn't select this printer to make high quality photos, for business and home use, it's very good. I recently did a lot of scanning for tax time and was so impressed at how easy and again, FAST it is. This device cost more than the competitors but I think you get what you pay for. Oh, and the ink... it comes with a LOT of ink and so far, the use is very reasonable.

Great printer other than occasional paper error.

Love this printer. My only problem is that I sometimes get an error that I am out of paper when I either have enough or there is plenty in the other drawer that I would think it would switch to.

One fatal flaw

This is a great all around 11 x 17 printer scanner. However it has one fatal flaw, ok maybe not fatal but annoying. It will not scan full 11 x17 color at its highest resolution and maybe that is why you bought it. Sent question to Brother on how to add more memory, but no response.

Better than MFC-J6935dw but not much

It does not make sense that the printer is not compatible with CC4 printer management.

My third brother printer. They get better with each iteration. This one is a little heavy for installation. But it has tank and cartridge ink for a year. Unlike many of my tech products it was easy to install.

This machine is subject to too many paper jams!! Frustrating when I have to clear the shelf of items so that I can spin the machine around to clear the jam.
