Broke on 3 use

I was pleased with the performance of this device, however just as I began to shave for only the 3rd time with this product the blade came loose and then I realized that the plastic holder had broken therefore releasing the blade. The unit is now useless and I had to find another way to finish shaving. I can’t believe something could be made so cheaply that it literally breaks in use!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple Easy Replacements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are reading this review then you are probably already a fan of the Philips OneBlade. The replacement blade for this electric razor is shaped like a razor blade and only cuts hair not skin. The shape and size makes it easy to maneuver and reach areas other razors cannot.
The blade is simple to install. It works dry, wet, in the shower, and with shave soap/cream. I like this feature a lot. When you are finished you can clean it off by rinsing it under a faucet. You will know it's time to replace it when a wear indicator begins to appear on the face of the blade. This is a feature I was unaware of and it is now one of my favorites.
This package includes two replacement blades rated at 4 months of use per blade. I have gotten as much as a year of use out of previous blades. The OneBlade razor is the most unique electric razor to come out on the market in my opinion. Combine this with the fact that you can easily replace the blade with these replacements makes it my favorite razor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great blades but the wear indicator never appeared

The blades are great and very easy to use and maintain. My only suggestion for buyers is to not just rely on the wear indicator to replace the blade as it may go blunt sooner then when the indicator appears (mine never actually appeared). When you use it constantly, you tend to not notice how the blade degrades over time and forget how smooth the experience was when you first used the blade, so while the trim still turns out acceptable, sometimes you have to go over the same spot 2-3 times instead of one. That's when you know it's time to replace the blade regardless of whether the indicator's appeared or not.

Not what they used to be

What happened? I had been using one blade for years, never a problem. Not the closest shave, but good enough. That was with the "original" blades. I can't seem to find the original blades that I believe to be genuine and not knockoffs. These new 360° blades are terrible. They either break easily, or tug and pull so badly I actually end up bleeding. Will definitely be looking for a new brand of razor. Too bad, I liked this all the years I'd been using it.

Trimming (comb) plastic guards -- Bad design

I would have given a 5 star since the razor itself is good, but the trimming (Comb) plastic blade guards are absolutely junk. The tabs on these guards become loose after a few uses and will eventually not hold the guard in place. Replacement parts are not available for purchase online....

Blades are the weakest link

Blade break far to easily and long before they wear out. I use this the shorten stubble every 3 to 4 days and have yet to get longer than a month before the rubber blade attachment breaks. Have never seen the blade indicator wear down. Due to price of blades and longevity, buy a more expensive, quality unit. It'll be cheaper in the long run. (actually short)
Cons: terrible blade life., expensive replacements and frequently needed

Great razor, poor design on the blades

This has been my goto razor for quite some time. Definitely could be one of the best, if they made it easier to reattach the blade when it comes disconnected from the part that disconnects from the razor. While cutting my hair today, the cord knocked my OneBlade onto the floor in the bathroom. I had my last blade on it, and it had barely any use on it's life. While trying to reconnect the blade, the cheap plastic on the back broke. This is not the first time I had to throw a perfectly good blade in the garbage, due to not being able to reconnect it. But this time, I decided to throw the entire razor in the garbage. Anyways, I still recommend it. But, DON'T EVER LET IT DROP IT ON THE FLOOR
Pros: closeness of the cut
Cons: can't reattach the blade to part that pops off
Absolutley loved it, until the blade itself broke! The little connectors from the blade to the handle are super fragile. i still like this product, i just recommend "handle with care"
