Great blades!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These blades are great. They are easy to replace. They can be used on wet or dry skin. Can easily reach all the hard to reach areas. Two blades will last up to eight months. I like that when the blade is dull and needs replaced it will show a symbol.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a product that easily conveys the reality that this industry embraces the “printing press” business model where you need to keep replacing the cartridge (blade) way too often. I didn’t even use this everyday. And when I did it was on thin short hair, and it lasted me about 3 weeks worth of shaves (at a new quality level). After a month it becomes hard to cut closer to the skin and required more effort and time to get a skin shave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We would like to share some useful information with you that hopefully can be helpful. Based on two uses per week, the blade should be replaced every 4 months. To make sure you get the best out of your OneBlade, follow our advice below.
Please clean the blade regularly and follow the cleaning instructions for OneBlade below:
1. After every use blow off any hair accumulated on the blade.
2. Turn your OneBlade on and rinse the blade and comb(s) with lukewarm water.
3. If the attachments need to be cleaned more thoroughly turn the OneBlade off, take off its attachments and wash them under a tap.
Also, make sure to only use your OneBlade only on recommended body parts.The Philips OneBlade is designed to be used on the face to trim and edge up your beard. With the body attachment, you can also use it on your body. However, if you use your OneBlade no other non-recommended areas, like your head, it may cause the blade to wear out.

Difficult to use and not effective

I bought this to help me shave the face of my husband with early onset Alzheimer’s. It simply did not work. It was difficult to hold in the angle provided in the directions and the results were patchy at best. Under the nose it cut his skin and left him with a horizontal linear scab for over a week. Going against the grain of the hair as directed did not provide a close shave and irritated his skin. This razor is expensive but does not live up to the hype. I was hoping to make my life as a caregiver easier. This razor is not the answer.

Pros: easy to use and clean, different trimming guides
Cons: blades are costly

So far I've had my One Blade for about a month. It shaves really nice and doesn't cause and razor burns, cuts or scratches. The shave isn't the closest I've ever had, but it fells pretty good, especially to my wife.
Since I've only had the razor about a month, (a week over that), I can't yet say that it still cuts great after nearly 3 or 4 months. I should expect that it will since I only shave twice a week on average. I hope that it will continue to perform since my calculations show that traditional razors, (even from one of those cheap shaver clubs), cost twice as much to use over the course of a year compared to the Philips One Blade. Hopefully I can comment again in a couple of months to give a better report.
