I'm 25, balding and busy! This razor gets it done for me.
I'm always cutting myself, getting ingrown hairs or constantly getting razor burn.
This razor has eliminated all of that for me. Best money I have ever spent on a razor!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome razor

I hate to shave.
Have gone trough several types of electrics, straight edge, triple head, single head ... blah blah. They all sorta worked but I always had to get out the manual razor to finish. So I went to a beard. Great, right? No! More work to trim and keep neat. So for years back and forth between electric, manual, beard, no beard, driving myself and wife nuts.
Out comes this OneBlade thingy. Yeah, yeah, another gimmick. And yeah, this sucker gonna try it. And I'm SO GLAD I did!
Easy to use. Really can't explain it better. I had a rather long, untrimmed beard. It takes a little time when it's long and sloppy. But way less time than using any other method.
I started with the 5 and just went all over to shorten the hair. Then went to the 3 to clean up. Able to cut a clean line along the jaw and upper lip with just the razor edge. Excellent trimmer! Excellent shaver! 4 stars on design only because I find the angle to be a bit cumbersome but easy enough to adjust to.
Thank You Philips People!!
Pros: easy to use, easy to clean, lightweight
Cons: angle of head to handle

Great idea. Terrible Quality/ Execution

Upon purchasing the new OneBlade, I was beyond excited to finally have a solution for getting a close-but-not-TOO-close shave. The first use, was even better than I expected; thus leading me to believe that my search for an ideal groomer was finally over. However, upon second use (2 days later, with a full charge), there were quite a few instances where the blade tugged on the hair. Based on the estimation of needing the change the blade once every 4 months, I ¨knew¨ that it couldn´t be the blade already going dull. Today was my third use - or lack thereof; the blade is officially dull ALREADY. I have regular thickness hair, and have only used the instrument on my face, yet it is already dull after 2 uses.
So, there you have it. A wonderful idea, tainted by terrible quality and execution of blade design.
Pros: great idea
Cons: terrible quality, blade dull after 2 uses, blades far too expensive to replace 2x / month
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love how close it gets. I have shown a few other family members and they also got one and love them. The only problem I had was when I first got my oneblade shaver the plastic around my blade broke and he wouldn't work any longer. I had to replace the blade right away which isn't great but now that I got a new blade it works great!
Pros: close shave, fast, easy to use, holds a charge for a long time, great for traveling
Cons: my first blade broke in a week, takes 8 hours to charge but last forever!, it would be nice for a #2 attachment

I like the fact that it does it all and was very surprised that the product does what it says. The only issue I have that it does get as close as a blade but close enough to be a great product.
Pros: versatile, close enough
Cons: not as close as a blade

Big shaver power in a little shaver body

I've been very impressed with the abilities of this little shaver. It cuts very well with the included guards and even though they say it does not shave as close as a razor it does a wonderful job of getting very close.
For all of the wonderful things I could say about this shaver I will focus on the three improvement areas that I see.
First and most importantly the blades only go in the shaver in one direction even though it is a two sided blade. Once you get used to using the shaver you tend to shave in the same direction, either based on comfort or the direction your hair grows. Because of that, one side of the blade is going to get dull faster than the other. I don't see any benefit of having the blade only fit into the shaver one way. If you could rotate it, the blade would last twice as long and you would not be wasting money replacing blades so quickly.
Of second importance is that the guards are numbered using only the imprint in the plastic itself with nothing distinguishing the different guards. That makes it very difficult to tell what your guards are selecting. It would be nice if the guards were either different colors all together or the numbers on the guards were distinguished somehow.
Lastly the power button tends to be directly underneath your thumb if you shave like you do with a normal blade. Typically I shave with my thumb underneath the razor for leverage. That's exactly where the power button is. The sides of the shaver have rubber grip so I presume that I should learn to change my hand position for this particular shaver, but it would probably be more universal if the power button were moved down a couple of inches.
Cons: one directional blade, indistinguishable blade guards, power button location
