Light weight for smaller 3-5 mile trails

This pack was great for the smaller trails. Carried what I needed comfortably. Only one small issue with the hipbelt riding up when wearing a hoodie that was resolved.

Close but no cigar

This day pack is ok, but once again another manufacturer misses the mark. What i was looking for was a small light-weight day pack. So far so good. The mesh back panel is a plus that makes this pack more comfortable than most. However, what I was also looking for was to stay organized and uncluttered even on a day hike. I need three separate compartments: one for food, one for extra clothes, one for emergency gear, like first aid kit, charger, flash light, plus some misc. items such as sunscreen, bug spray etc. Nothing bugs me more than having all those items flying about in one main compartment, creating a mess, moving about and becoming unbalanced and poking you in the back. Yet - once again another manufacturer, even one as experienced as Osprey, misses the mark and provides one main compartment and a tiny stash pocket that can't even hold a first aid kit. Throwing it in with the food? Not wise. The external stretch picker are fine but I prefer a more secure zippered compartment in particular for critical items. I wish finally some manufacturer could come up with such a basic idea of providing organization even in a small lightweight daypack. This pack gets many things right, yet it fails in this regard as most other daypacks. What a shame. There is a market for this - I hope soon one manufacturer finally sees this niche. Until then I pass.

Best Travel Pack I have ever used

First off, I am not a person that normally reviews a product, but was blown away by this packs performance. Traveling extensively over the last 30 years, this is the first pack I have used as a carry-on and daypack on vacation that has not left my back a sweaty mess. If you have problems with sweating through your shirts, or having a hot back because of your backpack, this is the one to buy! We went to Africa, Europe, and Iceland and not once did I sweat through because of the pack. The mesh suspension kept me cool, provided phenomenal support no matter what we stuffed in there, and held everything we could shove in there with no problems. When the pack wasn't full, the compression straps flattened the pack out with ease. I am a bigger guy (5'8"" and 275), this pack fit well and all the straps reached around my waist and chest with no problems. Pictures don't do the pack justice or tell the whole story. The side mesh pockets easily hold water bottles (32 oz Nalgene fits perfect), or anything else you need handy. The large pocket on the outside is really handy for coats, headphones, anything wet, or anything you can think of to put in it. Interior section is large and will hold a large amount of gear, the bladder pocket can double as a hideaway for documents, passports, money or anything else you want tucked away. The only thing I would change would be to make the top pocket a little bigger. You can put a cell phone, battery, keys, wallet, and some small items, but I like to put a little more than it can hold into it. To top it all off, a pack cover is included to keep the pack dry when you get more than a small drizzle while you are walking around. If you were on the fence about this pack, or are looking for a pack that won't make you sweat through your shirt, no matter how hot it is, buy this one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Manufacturer going above and beyond. Well made and sturdy. Extremely light weight as well. Going to be a great pack for day hiking and traveling. Pockets are divided well to hold your different items from water, napsack, cloths, and lunch. Perfect overall.

Have not hiked with it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have not hiked with it yet but have like the suspension and airway between my back and the pack. As with other reviewers, wish there was a simple panel to divide the main compartment for ease in finding things along the trails.
