Osprey Daylight Acorn Red Awesomeness.

Needed a new laptop backpack that would double as something I can use for a day bag. This one is great. I have 3 laptops in it right now and it holds them all. I'll wind up just having 2, but wanted to test the weight handling. Hip strap is meant solely to help the backpack flapping and not for load bearing. This backpack shouldn't be loaded up that much anyways. Looked at Dakine, Adidas and Northface options and fell in love with this.

Ive had this bag for over 4 years now and its been rained on, beat up, thrown over fences, down hills, been rolled on and sat on more times than i can count and theres not a single rip or tear anywhere on the bag. besides some light wear and tear on the designs and color it still looks and feels brand new.

I really love this backback, it is great to use as an everyday bookbag for a college student. I wanted something bigger than my kavu but cheapter than northface so it was a great choice!

Trend setting bag!!

I purchased this backpack several months ago to take on day trips/outings/adventures with my grandkids. I love the different compartments for snacks, diapers, water, tissues, wallet, sunscreen, phone and side pockets for water bottles are the perfect size. I took it with me to Colorado and several friends are now in the market for one. One friend used it when I had to sit out on one of our hikes and she can't wait to get her own. We went on a pretty difficult hike that took us about 8 hours and it performed perfectly, holding everything I needed without being cumbersome.

My least favorite bag from Osprey

This one isn't working out for me. I got it for the main intent of the extension to the Osprey luggage series these are compatible with for travel, which it does, but here are the major flaws: -When attached to the luggage it makes it front heavy and falls over subsequently making it hard to use the luggage whether wheeled or on back altogether -Yes I understand this is supposed to be lightweight day use backpack but it's annoying that it doesn't stand up right when you're packing it, if you have a filled water bottle in it it flops over on one side or slides out because the backpack has no frame to it to hold it up in the first place. Sure this bag could be flattened down and put in a larger piece of luggage but my stuff-sack style Cotopaxi 20L bag would stuff down way more than this one or I think Osprey carries a stuff-stack style one which would honestly for purposes, be more understandable and feasible in design than this one -The straps and the back are very uncomfortable with any weight exceeding 8 pounds I would say. They are so minimalist that they dig into your shoulder and lack of frame just weighs down on your pack -I find the cross straps also annoying, they feel in the way when you're trying to pack things and hurry quickly and I largely use them to secure the water bottle since it falls out due to the instability of this pack but its very annoying to need to clip each time when you're just trying to access the main compartment for your jacket when the stash pocket on front doesn't fit a jacket in the first place -The front stash pocket on the plus version of this is useless ,it doesn't fit a stuffed puffy jacket nicely - would rather have the compression cords. I would say it fits a few small items loosely and they fall out easily, even when you tighten the side straps because it has a wide open mouth to the pocket. - I miss having waist straps with pockets like a lot of the other daypacks osprey has does, as these are great for stashing credit cards

Uncomfortable for short people and scratchy fabric
on February 17, 2022

My 30+ year old Eastpak finally decided to bite the dust, and I thought I would spring for something trendier, and more expensive, with a water bladder, so I wouldn't have to carry so many water bottles with me. I am 65 years old, 5'2"", 140 pounds, walk a 3.5-4.0 MPH for 90 minutes a day, so I'm reasonably fit for 65. I wanted something just for day hiking, because I am headed to Utah for a week in May to hike with my granddaughter. This pack is adjustable, but I have taken it out twice and I have yet to be able to adjust it so that either the handle doesn't scrap the back of my neck, or the shoulder straps don't scrap the insides of my arm. The fabric is very uncomfortable. I wish I had not purchased this product and will probably end up donating it to good will. There was no one who could help me adjust it so that it fits properly where I bought it. I thought I could figure it out on my own, but alas, no. If I had kept the receipt, this would definitely be returned. Everyone seems to love this, but not me.

Night arches green is navy blue, not black
on February 1, 2022

I use this pack for everday tasks, home to office mostly. I really like the size and organization, not too much, just perfect for general use. I really like the ""Night Arches Green"" color when i ordered it, but when it showed up, the ""black"" background color is actually navy blue, really changes the effect of the color combo. It sounds petty, but i really dislike it being green with blue instaed of green with black. -1 star for the color.

As stated, I am an adult male 6'3"", 220 lbs. The straps are WAY too short. Fits me like Dolly Pardon wearing a training bra!
