Great Buy

We’ve had this pool for 4 years and it’s been wonderful. The setup was tedious, and a perfectly level ground is crucial. We watched all the YouTube videos and spent a ton of time preparing the surface. It still collapsed the first we filled it with water. We took it back down, graded the area again, used stronger supports for the legs, and the second time was a charm. It’s been through hurricanes, straight line winds, and cold winters with no sign of wearing out. Edit: We did upgrade the filter because all the reviews said the filter it comes with is not powerful enough.
I would recommend this to a friend!

There Soft Water Systems don't last!!!

I bought this pool in 2022. The pool is still good and I am hoping for 2 more seasons (this summer and next) before having to replace the frame. The bottom of metal legs are rotting from rust (probably a good idea to use rust resistant paint on the bottom of the legs. The white plastic cuffs are denigrating probably from the Arizona heat and sun. But most infuriating is the salt water system don't last. The first one lasted 3 seasons than stop producing chlorine and was flashing low salt which inaccurate. I did all of the suggestions serval times, even cleaning the build up of white stuff on the blades which was about a tablespoon, but it still didn't work. I bought another Intex system for a bigger pool . It only worked last season, with it doing the same exact thing. It had very little build up only 1/4 a teaspoon. I am turning the pool into a chlorine pool. Don't buy their soft water systems!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've owned intex pools since early 2000. Our last one was the 12x24' XTR. We have zero complaints. Used it for 5 years until we decided to upgrade to a larger one this year. It upsets me to see the 1 star reviews because they are people who simply just did NOT install correctly. Yes, the corners move in and out, they are designed to but if installed correctly there's not a problem. After 5 years....zero issues, zero regrets.

Thank you for being such a loyal Intex customer since the early 2000s! We truly appreciate you sharing your expertise and clarifying that the corner movement is a functional part of the XTR's design. It’s wonderful to hear your last pool provided five years of "zero issues" before your upgrade to a larger model.

Perfect, Small Space, Above Ground Pool!

I've had this pool for the past five years, and it’s been a breeze! I did add a salt water chlorinator and upgraded the sand filter after two years. The liner, metal frames, and flaps have held up great, and Intex has always been quick to fix any issues I’ve had. I did buy a new liner for next year because my current one is starting to fade, but that’s just a personal choice. Overall, the liner is still in fantastic condition. I would highly recommend this pool to anyone wanting a small space, above ground pool, that can be taken down every year if you want to.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horizontal poles split in first set up. The metal is thinner and lighter than previous pools. I tried emailing but no response from Intex.

We love the pool over all. The set up instructions could have better clearer. The sand filter is the problem. It loses its strength or force after couple of hours

Average pool. Cheap parts

The pool itself is pretty nice. I do wish the warranty covered more than just the frame and pool liner as we've had to replace several hoses and fittings over the three summers that we've had the pool (this will be our fourth summer). We have been taking it down every year, but plan on winterizing from here on to save water (we're in the south anyways). Not sure if taking it down and storing it is better or worse for the components (despite proper long term storage maintenance), but we'll see.
The liner has held up very well, but I can't say the same for the frame as it is rusting in places despite all of the advertisement concerning their anti-rust coating. Not anywhere to the point of concern, mind you, but after the first summer we noticed rust when taking it apart, so... maybe it's better than their cheaper pools, but it still rusts pretty quickly.
The pool cover tore above an eyelet (where the string goes through to tie it down) within the first summer as well, then over the next two summers the seams would produce more holes, then last year we left it up a touch longer than we typically do, but without water. The cold weather (not that cold, though) did not mesh well with the pool cover and it just tore to pieces. So, that thing is a complete dooker and I would recommend replacing it with a nice high quality tarp instead.
The ground tarp that ships with this pool can immediately put into recycling/garbage as it is very cheap, will become brittle and will shred to pieces from a light breeze in a matter of weeks. It didn't last through the first summer.
Some of the plastic bits for locking the legs into the frame, the frame collars and little button things are also cheap, will become brittle and break over time, too. The theme seems to be "make a good pool liner, a pretty good frame, then just go real cheap on everything else". Granted, the pump has thus far done its job without issue.
Overall, it's not a bad pool, but it's not amazing, either. I've seen it priced around a grand at its lowest, usually post-summer. That's not a bad price to pay for it.
