Love this for the size

Has a weak link

It's a decent plastic box and the gasket is a good idea, especially if you're storing something like dog food. Unfortunately, the weak link nullifies that advantage. Less than a year after owning one of these, every single handle broke. The little pegs that hold the handles on are under-designed for active storage. It's pretty obvious the intent for these is to store and leave them sit. We used ours for storing dog food and opened it about every 2 weeks to fill smaller containers. Each handle had about the same resilience because they all broke off within about 2 weeks of each other. So they're consistent, I'll give them that. I suggest that Sterilite take the time to actually test their products in a real-life scenario. That might avoid issues like this.

I buy these items all the time for my bedding covers. I wish I could get more for all my pillows and blankets. I like it because you can see through them and you don’t have to pull everything out.

Great seal, bad latches

I bought a pack of four for my paperwork and it works great! Until the receiving holes on the tub for the latches break. Other than that a great durable product that I will buy again if the latches are redesigned.

Latches break off!

I bought two of these tubs about 4 months ago for dog and cat food. Since then three latches have broken off one tub, and two off the other. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features

I bought four of these boxes last fall. I just bought four more today. I love that you can use either letter or legal files and the boxes seal to protect important documents. Paper work is always so hard to organize but these boxes make it easy! I’m getting rid of my bulky file cabinet now because these boxes store easily in the closet. The other thing that made my day was the fact that the store labels came off so easy and left no sticky residue!

Love the gasket feature but every single one of these that I have bought, which is 4 large size, 3 medium, and 1 small, the handles have broke off. So now I have to use a bungee cord to strap down the lid, which totally dissolves the gasket feature for air proof quality.

My entire home is organized with Sterlite. This is by far my favorite. The size is easy to manage. We have everything from legos packed away to a file management system for things like birthday cards and school things by year for each of my children and my husband and I. It is also perfect for financial papers such as mortgage docs!!! Please Sterlite, keep this one in your lineup!
