Buyer Beware - Strong Odor

After 2.5 years, these bins began emitting a harsh chemical smell so strong it contaminated everything inside. All stored bedding had to be rewashed, and the odor persists. This appears to be serious plastic off-gassing, not a minor issue. We stopped using them immediately due to health concerns. I would strongly advise against storing items in these bins.

Our Storage products are made of polypropylene plastic. Polypropylene sometimes has a plastic smell (especially the clear products) when first purchased that dissipates fairly rapidly once the product is unpacked and put to use. Washing with a lemon scented or grease fighting detergent and rinsing thoroughly helps dispel any noticeable odor. Detergents sometimes adhere to plastics and you will want to wipe and rinse well. The wheels break very easy

The wheels break very easy. They were all very nice, but don't set them down too hard, cuz then the wheels break.

The very first thing to like about my underbed wheeled box is that the Sterilite label comes off the product so easily! Its not a sticky, horrible label that is close to impossible to remove....a wonderful feature! My underbed box fits under the bed very easily and glides out. Easy to pull out and fill with my crafts, extra clothing, etc. Thank you, Sterilite!

The latches on the boxes break easily and cannot be replaced. It would be great if you could provide a means of getting replacement handles/latches.

Too tall to go under standard height bed

I bought a couple for the kids for college and for home. This would be have been the perfect container if it weren't too tall to slide under a standard bed -- and just by maybe a 1/4 - 1/2". If I could remove the wheels it would probably fit under, but they don't come off. I either have to get a taller bed or somehow raise the one I have, neither of which is an option. Standard bed risers were too tall and not safe (they slip and can tip over). The Sterilite under bed containers without wheels do fit under the bed but are much smaller all around (height, width, and depth) so I thought these would be a more efficient use of space. I was very wrong. Now where do I put these?
