Terrible audio

The sound goes on the fritz and sonds like a scratchy throat. Absolutely way behind on audio quality. ROKU blames IT ON EVERYONE ELSE. My apple box never has an audio problem. It's ROKU.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Carson, thanks for taking a moment to share. There are many reasons that this could be occurring but we'd like to help and narrow it down for you. For example, does the sound occur even when the TV is muted? Has the audio always been like this from the start or did it begin recently? Does it seem to happen on one channel or every channel (i.e. Netflix and YouTube and Peacock TV)?
In an effort to isolate the issue, we'd recommend trying to connect your Roku to a different HDMI port on the back of your TV and also trying a different HDMI cable. Be sure to use the Premium High Speed HDMI cable that was provided with your Express player for the best experience.

I bought this to replace a regular 4k Roku that started stalling or flying wildly across a bunch of streaming channels, wouldn't go where directed. (?!) Unfortunately, this one has sound and picture problems. Either the sound cuts out in the middle of a lot of movies, or the picture suddenly cuts off to partial size-what?! At first I thought it was only happening on Vudu (where I have most of my 4k movies), but then I noticed the picture problem on Apple TV as well. It's all very erratic, but will have to return-and then what? ( I need Roku for Acorn TV, and my Samsung 4k TV won't connect to the Internet anymore (it's less than 4 years old.) Good grief. (I tried resetting my sound from auto to Dolby, and I upped my Wifi to the 5g source. Can't think what else to try.)

Hello, This is certainly not the kind of experience we would hope for you to have and this does not sound like typical behavior. Sometimes, performing a system restart on the player can resolve this. Other times, you might need to uninstall and reinstall the affected channels, check the status of your wireless connection, or contact the channel's service provider.

Faster Express with better remote. Recommend

One of many Roku's in the house. I have two of these now and really impressed. Same processor as the Ultra. Channels load fast and picture quality improved. Voice assisted remote with volume and on/off. Good for both 4k and 1080/720 televisions. Faster than the Stick+ although it may have slightly better connectivity.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am so happy that I bought the Roku Express 4K+(3941R2) a few months ago! It's so easy to install and use and I really like that I can use my voice with the remote!! I really recommend it!!

My ROKU TV is great, no issues. However, the devices are trash. They just stop working. For no reason and not even a year old! I would never buy another!
