New Roku remote
on March 26, 2024

Very disappointed in these new remotes. They don’t work as well as the old ones. They go through batteries every other week which is not cheap by any means. Thinking of just going with a different brand.

Hello! We understand you're having trouble with your Roku remote. Sometimes, Roku remotes can unpair from their devices due to power issues, Wi-Fi problems, or random glitches. First, check that your batteries are aligned correctly and there's no debris blocking the path. Try to restart your Roku device by going to Home > Settings > System > Power. If you don't see Power, go to System Restart. If you still facing the same issue. Please visit us online at http://support.roku.com/contactus to connect with an agent who can assist. Your feedback is very important to us and we’re eager to assist.
Thank you! Roku Customer Advocate

Hi Becky, thanks for taking a moment to share your feedback with us.
Signal strength can vary due to factors and we're here to help! We recommend visiting our FAQ article to walk through some helpful connection tips and resolutions: https://support.roku.com/article/213122277.
Other devices currently accessing the network, such as other streaming players, computers, game consoles, and mobile devices may affect the quality of your network connection. You might want to temporarily stop using any such device and check if that makes a difference.
Be sure that your router is within range of the device and avoid obstructions like cabinets and walls when possible. As a tip, you can check the strength of your internet connection by going to Settings > Network > Check connection.
If your router and Roku device both support 5GHz, you could also try connecting to the 5GHz wireless network for improved network strength.
We hope this helps! Roku Customer Advocate

HDCP Error Fix
on December 10, 2021
Posted by: Cjorji
from Texas
This is what works on my Express 4K to fix the HDCP error. I have an older non-smart Samsung TV that I plug into a surge protector along with other components (stereo receiver, DVD player, etc. I plug the roku into the wall outlet along with the surge protector. At night, I unplug the surge protector and the roku. This also helps cut down on phantom electricity use. When watching tv again, plug in the surge protector and watch tv only, then re-plug the roku back into the outlet when I want to use it again. If u want to take a break from using roku, unplug it from the outlet when watching tv only and re-plug roku when desired. Was about to return the roku until I discovered this system and it’s been working flawlessly for 3 straight months.

Response from roku.comBy Rebecca, Roku Customer Advocate, July 19, 2022
Hi Tolga, we appreciate you getting in touch as we're always looking to expand our presence. Channel availability/access on Roku devices will vary from region to region as it is determined by each channel provider themselves.
To determine if a channel is available in your region, visit channelstore.roku.com.
We don't currently market or sell devices directly in your region, so many channels/services may not currently be available. However, others such as YouTube and Netflix work in many locations.
You'll want to contact any specific channel provider directly to inquire further and share your interest in seeing their channel on the Roku platform in your location.
Happy Streaming! Roku Customer Advocate

Only have had it for a few months now it won’t turn on and can’t get anyone from Tony to help with this issue. Now I have a device that is not working and will have to start looking for something else to use. The most horrible experience with the tiki device express 4K+. I would not recommend to anyone

Hi Rene, we're sorry to hear about your troubles and we're here to help.
First, you may want to try changing the power source. For examples, if you are connecting it to a USB port on the back of your TV, try using the included wall power adapter. If you are already using the included power cable and adapter, try using a different micro-USB cable and/or wall power adapter.
We have a helpful FAQ article here that goes into more details, including how to determine if your device is eligible for a warranty replacement: https://support.roku.com/article/219327988.
