[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "My laptop has been incredibly reliable. It's been a workhorse, handling all my tasks without a hitch. I've had it for quite some time, and it has consistently performed without any major issues. Whether it's for work, entertainment, or just browsing, I can always count on my laptop to be there when I need it. It's been a great investment, and I'm extremely satisfied with its performance and reliability."
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a fan of Thinkpads and Lenovo for decades. When I purchase a Lenovo, I know that this is high quality and going to last. I legitimately still have Thinkpads that work from the 90's on up. This latest Thinkpad was an investment, but it is future proofed as all my Lenovo purchase have been. This P16 is a beast and is handling all my Blender, Unreal Engine, and FPS rendering/gaming like the world class champ it is. The hardware is definitely optimized for those types of workloads as expected. This is my new monster and I would recommend it for anyone who needs a monster.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything I wanted, for the price I needed.
I will buy it again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Latest models are missing your traditional IBM kbd

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a dozen ThinkPads from when it was IBM to a P51 I got just a few years ago. IMHO your best feature is your IBM keyboard. I wanted to upgrade the P51 to a new laptop, but I can't find a model that combines the fastest CPUs like the i9 13980hx with the traditional IBM keyboard. The IBM keyboard is the reason I have been buying Lenovo. Without it, Lenovo has no differentiation from Dell or HP. I hope someone in Product Management reads this to understand how important your unique keyboard is to your customers.

Strange choices for ~$3000 laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased through perks at work; Couple points the LED display is way too bright even at it's lowest setting and while I understand that is for visibility while outside the unit I purchased lacks both the WWAN module and the antenna leads. Its unclear which version has this but I assume its the OLED? Seems like there is a ton of wasted space on the chassis that could have been used for an onboard NIC but the lack of WWAN antennas on the non-OLED model plus the lack of a smart card reader made me return the unit. I might reconsider once BTO options become available but again for a $3000+ laptop to lack basic features like the ones mentioned previously is simply unacceptable

Wrong and cheaper hardware sent & terrible support
on August 28, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the new Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 2 for work with high hopes, but my experience has been far from satisfactory. First the laptop I received was equipped with an M.2 SSD that not only differed from the one I had purchased but was also an inferior Generation 3 model instead of the superior Generation 4 that I had paid for. To make matters worse, I had opted for the Premier support package with international warranty, believing that it would ensure a smooth experience in case of any problems but when I reached out to US Premier support about the SSD issue, they shrugged off the responsibility and directed me to customer service. Customer service's proposed solution was equally perplexing. They suggested a complete replacement of the laptop – an extreme measure for an issue that should have been easily remedied. However, the catch was that they would ship the new laptop top the original address in USA, even that I’m not there right now and obviously the bad laptop should be send there too. This would have been reasonable if not for the international warranty I had purchased, which was specifically intended to avoid such inconveniences. When I tried the Latam Premier support, it was the same unhelpful story. I spent a lot of time on the phone explaining the problem again and again. I even emailed the Latam Premier Support manager, hoping for help, but they never answered. It looks Lenovo doesn't really want to solve problems. The most perplexing aspect of this entire ordeal is Lenovo's refusal to simply send the replacement M.2 SSD to my current location. This straightforward solution would have resolved the issue efficiently and saved both parties a great deal of hassle. All in all, Lenovo's actions can only be described as a double rip-off. Not only did they send a laptop with cheaper, slower components than what I purchased, but they also failed to uphold the promises of their Premier support with international warranty. As a consumer who placed faith in their products and services, it'll hard to trust Lenovo next when their actions don't match their promises.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
