purchased this system on 7/13/25. 3 of the shelf brackets have broken. Rubbermaid is very hard to get in contact with. I would not recommend.

Horrible closet system

The instructions are horrible. I cannot understand the directions because they are so incomplete and they assume you know how to put it together. The pictures are faded, and very hard to see. This was a waste of money. So far I have not found online instructions. Do not buy this item unless you have installed closet systems similar to this, and you don't need any directions.

Assembling the Rubbermaid Expandable Closet Kit involves several steps. Here’s a general guide to help you through the process:
Measure the height and width of your closet space.
Use a stud finder to locate and mark the studs on the wall where you will install the hanging rail.
Position the hang rail at the desired height and mark the screw holes.
Drill pilot holes into the studs and secure the hang rail with screws. If your kit includes multiple rails, slide the second rail behind the first one.
Attach the uprights to the hang rail. Ensure they are evenly spaced and level. Secure the uprights to the wall using screws and spacers.
Insert Brackets and Shelves:
Insert the brackets into the uprights at your desired heights.
Place the shelves onto the brackets and lock them into place. Adjust the shelves as needed.
Install Rod Hangers and Closet Rods:
Attach the rod hangers to the uprights.
Insert the closet rods into the hangers and snap them into place. Adjust the rods to the desired length.
Add Accessories:

Can't even put it together because once you have part of it together and try to put the other part together the part was together comes apart. It's ridiculous. I would not recommend it to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wheeled cart is perfect for everything. I use it to store many things such as makeup and perfume items. Currently it’s storing baggies to keep all my nail polishes. It’s got a lot of room and you can wheel it most anywhere. I plan on getting another one for my bathroom and kitchen. So versatile and nice for s as tiring items.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Rubbermaid Closet Wheeled Storage Cart 3 tier a few weeks ago. I was very disappointed in this product. I have tried to put it together for weeks and every time I have tried. it will not go together. I followed the instructions to a tee and when i thought i had done. It would just fall to the floor. I was surprised of the poor quality of the product. Because Rubbermaid always has great products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great storage cart.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great storage cart. First of all, it has a great amount of storage space. There's a good amount of space in between each tier so I was able to fit everything I wanted in each tier. I love that it's not too big so it doesn't take up much space. Secondly, it has wheels! So I can easily move it around to where ever I'm needing it to be. It's pretty sturdy as well. A lot of the stuff I'm storing is pretty heavy and it hasn't had any issues holding up. I have mixed feelings about the putting it together process. It was pretty easy for the most part. But it was also pretty frustrating as well. There were a few times I had trouble putting it together and the instructions weren't really that helpful. I wish the cart didn't have the wide spaces as the bottom (tray?) of each tier. I have to be careful about what I store or else it will just fall through. I wish it was flat or maybe had smaller spaces. But I think a mat or something like that would help fix that. The positives outweigh the negatives for me, so I'd definitely recommend this storage cart.

Easy to put together and sturdy for what you need it for. Very satisfied with this and it fits right beside my refrigerator which is a plus for me.
