Weak plastic tabs

I have so many of these containers because I like the foam seal. However, I hate the cheap blue tabs used to keep the containers closed. No matter how gentle you are, these tabs will break off.

Latch handles break off

I need replacement handles. The tabs are puney, and break off.

gasket box handles

Love the gasket feature but every single one of these that I have bought, which is 4 large size, 3 medium, and 1 small, the handles have broke off. So now I have to use a bungee cord to strap down the lid, which totally dissolves the gasket feature for air proof quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broken Latches

I have two of these containers purchased at separate times. One has held up nicely, the other not so much. One container is used to keep dog food and opened every day. That one held up great. The other has only been opened maybe a dozen times and 3 of the 4 latches have broken. I can only assume there was a bad batch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keeps out the moisture - no lost time or money

When storing items in our basement, we recognized that we needed to keep things airtight and watertight. So we invested in 20+ of these and the larger size as well.
Seemed like an investment, yes it was. But it was worth it because the items we're storing have both monetary and personal value.
What is also of value is the time we have saved. No time will be wasted on throwing out items because they are moldy.

Size stated is NOT accurate

Normally i absolutely LOVE Sterilite products. This time I was let down not by the product itself, but by the description / specifications.
I bought this product (1934) to store framed portraits. However the size is significantly smaller than the stated dimensions therefore I had to return them.

The measurements listed are taken from the widest and longest points of the container, including the latches. This tells you if the item will fit into a specific space or area that it is intended for
Inside bottom dimensions are smaller as the product tapers downward. We are very sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

I often have clients with precious memories and keepsakes, photos and albums, that are worried about storing them in a damp or dirty garage. I highly recommend going that extra step to store these fragile items. The gasket seal takes the container to the next level in long term storage. I have complete confidence that my clients (and my own) belongings will be protected long term.
