Long battery life

I had a solar instinct and upgraded to the solar instinct 2. Much longer battery life and improvement on some of the features. Really love this watch.

This is my very first ever Garmin watch and I cannot say enough about it. I have utilized a Samsung watch for the past 6yrs and got tired of the battery life. Everynight it would need charging therefore sleep monitoring is a moot point. This watch can do all the same things as the samsung watch minus speaking on a call but I would call it even considering the battery life vs the samsung battery life. I love the solar aspect of it which helps it go way longer than the normal smartwatch.

I was in need of a watch that tracked health signs as well sleeping. My options would be to go back to a smart watch but it would always need to be tethered to a charging cable and would negate the sleeping with it on. This watch offers solar to offset the usage and extend life out to 30 days or longer depending on configuration. I will say that mine lasts 29days and I will place it on charge at around ninety percent while in the shower and by the time I get out and dressed it is back to 100 percent. I do not wear it in the shower so downtime is minimal and ot tracks sleep at night. As a bonus it does have a flashlight which has the option to go red for better peripheral vision if needed.

Not what I expected

The watch came with a USB cable that is too small.I can’t plug it into anything.I will have to buy a separate cable in order to charge.Not acceptable.I am returning the watch.

Battery life!

Opened the box, charged, into Grand Canyon for 7 day backpacking trip. Tracked every day 8-10 hours in battery saver mode, never had to change with ample sunshine. Thought the flashlight was a gimmick until I I used in middle of night, didn’t have to fumble looking for phone or headlamp to scare off rodents. Now that I’m home the watch is a little big for every day use but haven’t taken off yet.

Where's the "Music Man"

Didn't realize I would miss having the ability to load music onto the watch. I always listen to music when running with my Fenix 6X Pro.
