Awesome battery life

I recently bought this watch and I'm glad I did.. I bought the white one I wish I had bought the black as it would be more elegant looking

Between "likable" and "lovable."

I was looking for a direct replacement of my original Instinct. The solar was a main feature for me as I really do not like to charge my watches all the time.
I do quite enjoy the larger face (I'm a big guy and like bigger watches). It's easy to read, relatively customizable, and has all of the same metrics my previous Instinct had. The GPS connect is much faster than my previous watch, which I really appreciate. Standing around and waiting for the clouds to clear or signals to bounce off buildings was always a bit obnoxious. The little flashlight, er, torch, is a great addition, albeit slightly silly. It reminds me of the gadgets from Get Smart.
I find one of the biggest downfalls to this version is the heart rate monitor. I've always had issues getting reliable heart rate readings due to my tattoos. My previous watch was adequate and could read if I had the face on the inside of my wrist (which is where I prefer to wear the watch anyhow). However, this version doesn't read as well. I haven't been able to get reliable sleep statistics (at least reliable outputs, regardless of accuracy) and the watch often has no output data throughout the day.
All-in-all, I'm glad I upgraded as I've been wanting a new watch for a while. I think it's a great watch and not one that I'd be concerned about banging around. Kettlebell workouts, working on my car, house projects, etc. I have no concern for the watch. I don't think I'd feel the same way about a Fenix if I were wrenching.
The watch suits my needs for workout and daily data. It's rugged and holds up to the tasks that its exposed to. I don't need a color display with tons of apps or music streaming, etc. The battery life is pretty darn good and I'm still working on running the battery down after owning it for a couple of weeks.
I'd definitely recommend this watch for those looking for basic functionality and durability.

Everything I hoped it would be

It’s a great watch. I upgraded from the instinct 1 that had no issues at all simply because I wanted this new one. Will continue to buy garmin watches.

Great Watch

Bought appox. 6 weeks, ago. Very easy to use. Menu's are easy to figure out. Buttons are easy to press / use. Accurate GPS and measurements. Seamlessly integrated with my phone and Garmin Pay is excellent to use!

Great for work as a First Responder

So far I have only had this watch for a week or so and it's been very handy and useful in my workouts, job as a firefighter/emt, and much more. The flashlight is invaluable for calls at night and sleep tracking while at the station is very important to me. Seeing how much sleep I am getting in between calls is great information, and the body battery feature is great at reflecting how much energy I may or may not have coming off shift the next day. Solar charging keeps the battery up for a while and I have only had to charge the watch once so far after rigorous use. Tracking workouts with this watch is amazing too, as it's wonderful to see my progress actually tracked and measured with so many different data fields. My wife loved my watch so much, she picked up a Venu 2s for herself, and she isn't even a watch person!

Bought this watch about a month ago and it does everything I was expecting it to do plus more. It’s awesome not having to worry about charging it because of the solar charging. Toughest watch I’ve owned.

I have had a few Garmin watches. The Instinct Solar 2x is by far my favorite one of them all. It has great features and it's customizable. It's easy ro use and just overall a great watch.

I bought one as I could not keep my Apple watch charged! I loved it so much I bought my Husband one for Father’s Day/ Anniversary. I love that they are solar, rugged and so far perfect. Face not as fancy and lit up. But love it. Serves it’s purpose!! Many functions, already used the light !!! Great buy and so far 3 weeks and still 71% charged!!!
