Big and bright watch!

Had tried the Apple Watch but never really liked it… face too small. The Garmin is meant for outdoor activities and is easy to read in bright sun. Love the functionality so far. And going on two months without charging!

Great battery life

I purchased my Garmin 2x solar a little over a month ago, since I already had a garmin instinct which the battery would only last a day in hiking mode. The 2x solar last over 24 days in hiking mode,(tracking my pace;miles per hr., altitude, time. Ttl. Miles, heart rate, day & date.) All on on a custom screen option I set up on the hiking screen, on the watch. I am completely satisfied with my purchase. Mostly, not having to charge every night when thru hiking is great. I needed to somedays down load to my phone and charge up and start again hiking simply because of not enough battery life on my other garmin instinct. Now I don't have to do anything but hiking on! Thanks, Garmin, for perfect watch for thru hiking long distance trails, of which I have completed two so far.( Arizona Trail and the Colorado trail) I'm getting set to hike the CDT soon and decided to purchase my new Garmin Instinct 2x Solar.

Needed a Second Chance

I have been wearing Instincts since they first came out. I have bought much fancier Garmins including the Marq but kept gravitating back to the Instinct, particularly the solar version which makes it an incredible travel watch. I received the 2X, wore it once and did not bond. I pulled it out a while later, took it for a few runs and kept it on for a few days. I then wore it on a trip and played with it’s features. In short, I determined it was such a great watch I ordered a second. Give this watch a fair shake and you will love it.

Light and easy to read

Having always been a gshock fan but disappointed with the features they have in their fitness smart watches- I went with garmin and have been impressed with the functionality and features and easy navigation of the watch. Its easy to set up and the feedback from the fitness features are helpful in tracking your fitness levels. I do not even use a computer on my bike rides anymore and just use the watch. And the battery life cannot be rivaled- especially with the solar ability. If you like large bodied watches this one will not disappoint.

i do love the watch. it is the one i have been waiting for. only problem is that it has almost too many features and there is a big learning curve. i suggest making the most used things super easy to access.

Purchased about a month ago after a lot of holding out and shopping around. This product is nice but way over priced. When using the full breadth of its capabilities its battery life declines significantly, saying it lasts for 40 days it a bit misleading. The solar capabilities don't seem to add to battery life in a meaningful way. Mostly this watch confirms information I already know about myself and I believe most athletes would. I recommend buying a more basic tracker until the price drops or some type of significant upgrades are introduced.

Delivers as promised

I've had it for a month now and at first I was a little overwhelmed with all the features. However I quickly realized it is very user friendly and paired with the app on my phone it is remarkable. I didn't realize how often I would use the light feature, but with the ease of turning it on I use it at least once a night. Great product and battery life is amazing!

Let me start by saying that I was immediately sold on getting this specific Garmin device when I found out about the solar charging and the built-in flashlight. Both of these features have been functioning with no problems. The smartwatch and fitness are absolutely fantastic and function as they should! I can easily track my exercise and retrieve and respond to notifications from my smartphone. I am slowly learning and getting a hang of the other features and enjoying it! I appreciate the tactile buttons to use the device and not a touch screen because I would be worried about damaging the screen and/or something rubbing up against it and activating it. Overall, I am really happy with my experience! So far, so good! I wholeheartedly recommend it!
