Great Fitness Watch for an Even Better Price!

I’ve owned this watch for about 2 weeks. It replaced an Apple Watch that unexpectedly died. This watch may not have the color touchscreen of higher priced watches, but it has EVERY feature I want in a fitness watch. Paired with the Garmin Connect App, this watch provides a tremendous amount of insight into my fitness, sleep quality, overall recovery. My favorite feature of this watch is the battery. Charging my Apple Watch daily was annoying, so the 40+ day battery life of the Instinct 2X Solar is fantastic! Great watch. Great price.

Great all around!!

I bought this watch a few weeks ago to try a different than my previous one. After the initial charge out of the box, it’s still going. It has that rugged feel with endless capabilities. It’s truly a great watch and I can’t wait to try it out during the hunting season.

Flashlight orientation unusual

Watch is ok. Altimeter is useless unless you recalibrate it to a known elevation every 10 minutes, not accurate at all. The watch faces interchangeabllity is
great feature. The flashlight is a great feature except it should be placed inline with your arm to show on your hand instead of perpendicular to your arm. Instead of pointing to an area you want to light up you have to reposition your arm to show whats in front of your hand. The compass is good too. Battery life is ok, lasts about 2.5 weeks with no gps use and moderate flashlight use. The charger provided only is usb c to garmin adaptor , a usb a is not an option unless you purchase one seperately. Messages and phone use must be tied to your cell phone and garmin software, not stand alone.

Great Item but be sure to adjust the power saving

I bought this for my hike on the Appalachian Trail in March 2024. I wanted something that would tell me the day the time the weather, all the usual stuff that an Apple Watch would do. I like the feature of recharging the battery from the sun. That was a big part of why i got it. Once i got on trail, i quickly realized that it had gps features on it too! (I bought the day before leaving for the at-not much research was done on my part) i really like the watch but there’s only one thing i don’t like. It starts gps at the most in opportune moments. I haven’t figured out how to get it on power saver mode yet, but at least there’s that. I highly suggest buying this watch as long as you can figure it out. There are a lot of buttons.

best battery life

Cons: not super convenient button controls. Slow saving of workouts, small number of programs on a black and white screen. I didn’t figure out how to switch the music. Probably the lack of a touch screen.
Reading mail and messages is not very convenient. but perhaps this can be configured.
I recommend the watch.

All you would ever need in a "Watch"

I purchased this about a month ago to replace my apple watch. So glad I did. The GPS feature and all of the features are amazing. No more apple watch stopping in the middle of my workout without warning. Looking forward to learning more about everything it has to offere.
