a substantial sized piece of work

I have not had a chance to check out the solar since it is winter and cloudy ........
But I like it. I have 2 other standard size instincts, an original and an instinct2 to compare with.
It is heavier on my wrist than the standard size and larger and easier to read the screen. If you now use another instinct then the user interface is similar in all of them.
The biggest asset of the 2x is its battery life which is in theory unlimited with a certain amount of sun each day. It has been so overcast lately that I have not been able to use the solar much but it still has that long battery life on a single charge. And the flashlight is usable but drains the battery quick........

Excellent battery life

Upgraded fro a OG solar to the 2x solar. Was worried it was to big for my wrist. But I don’t even notice it.

Love the change from Samsung

Switched from a Samsung 3 because of the battery life and more advanced stats/dashboard. With the settings I have enabled and the amount of activity tracking I do (6 times a week with 1-3 using gps) I'm getting about 2 weeks of battery life. In the summer where I'll get significantly more sun due to being outdoors more hours per week and not wearing long sleeves I think I'll see improvement. Already a huge change from 1.5 days with the Samsung.

Great activity watch!

I loved my Instinct Solar, which has been a great watch for over two years. Loved it so much that I decided to upgrade to the 2X Solar, and am glad that I did. Still learning all the new features, and so far have been very impressed. Maybe most impressive of all so far is the battery life. Pretty incredible! Concern I initially had was the size since it is much bigger than the Instinct Solar, however I actually like it even more. Easier to read with more info on each screen. Looking forward to more adventures with this watch as I get more familiar with all the additional features!

If you have less that stellar eyesight you're better off with an Epix 2. This one is hard to see

The GPS Works!

I bought this watch to enable navigation in areas without cell service. While I am still on the learning curve it appears to be exactly what I needed. I really need to find my vehicle at the end of the day, in the woods, in the dark. This watch will do that.

Love the watch only thing I’m disappointed in is the solar charging. I sit the watch in the sunlight for hours to get very little charge. I collect watches and have many solar watches and have never had that problem.
