I bought them to replace regular Christmas lights that were ready for the trash. It took a little planning. But I figured it out. Everything works and I am using them with my Halloween decorations.

Beware of Govee's wiring arrangement, and get SELF-TAPPING SCREWS

Great set of lights overall. When I opened the package, I was dismayed to see that it's actually two SEPARATE strings of approx 50' lights that must connect to a central control box. Govee doesn't explicitly state this anywhere on this product's page; they only throw vague hints at this arrangement. I started the return process since my outlet is at the end of my home (not the middle), but I decided to just work with it anyway.
The included screws are beyond TERRIBLE; they're small and my driver bit kept slipping, and it was the smallest phillips bit I own!). Do yourself a favor and get a box of SELF-TAPPING SCREWS; it sped up the installation IMMENSELY. Constantly swapping between drill bit and screwdriver bit, while on top of a ladder, in cold weather, was NOT my idea of fun.

Great lights for the price. Only time will tell how long they last, but hopefully a long time. Easy to put up. They are small, so you don’t notice them in the daytime. We have an outlet on our front porch, so starting in the middle and going two directions works for us. Tons of color options
