Wood not strong enough

As I’m putting my machine together the wood on one of the side boards cracked & ended up breaking off & I am glueing it back together with wood glue but why are the materials so flimsy. Trying to finish up to be able to play.

Very happy with purchase thus far. Some issues with mislabeled assembly parts but was able to sort out. Design of cabinet appears true to that of the 80s

Partial problem assembling, part did not fit properly. Dificulty while attaching together top and bottom. The faux coin box prevent from connecting together, had to remove one board.

We have had the item for a few weeks and it is a great addition to our vacation rental. My 13 year old son put it together all by himself without any problems. It looks great and seems sturdy.
