Great looking and working hood, but BEWARE

The range hood looks super sharp and works moderately well, especially considering the price. I think this is one of the best values you can get for such a specialty type of item.
BUT, man oh man we're the other reviews right.
The protective wrap is IMPOSSIBLE to remove fully. I started with the blue wrap and, while that was frustrating, it was mostly manageable save for the seams.
The white/black wrap was awful. It tore 1000 times and small frays can be seen in all of the seams where the steel sheet was crimped. This is how it looks after about 4-5 hours of peeling the wrap and using a razor and pin to remove all of the remnant frayed pieces from the joints.
For those still reading and thinking "how on Earth can I get all of the wrap off?". Use a thumb tack and exacto blade in all of the grooves. Blow dryer won't work. Flame won't work. Lots of elbow grease, scraping and cursing. Remnant adhesive can be removed by soaking goo-gone and scrubbing with alcohol on a microfiber.
All in all, I love the look, form, and function of the hood, but likely will not be able to remove every last scrap of wrap. It will just become part of the decor.

Design is challenging to install the ceiling part accurately. Otherwise, the range hood is beautiful and functional and ads a great look to a new kitchen
