This ductless island range hood adds a beautiful design element to my newly upgraded kitchen. Our old cooktop had a ducted exhaust underneath the unit taking up valuable cabinet space. And it only worked for the first few years of our then newly built home. We continued without the exhaust for the next 16 years, avoiding all fried foods(don’t ask about the times we had to open windows and frantically wave towels at our smoke detectors). With our recent upgrade we wanted to avoid a lot of drywall work and thought a ductless range hood would be better than no exhaust at all, especially when our teenaged cooks burn things. To try it out I made fried okra for my mom in the first week. OMGoodness!!! It works great! The house didn’t smell like grease all night long. The carbon filter really did the job. My only suggestion to future buyers it to remove the blue protective film before you install it. The process of removing all of the residual film from the seams was painstakingly difficult and time consuming. I understand it’s value in shipping and removing the packaging, but it would have been much easier to be careful not to scratch durning installation and to wipe off fingerprints after it’s installed, than it was standing on my brand new countertops and cooktop, breaking fingernails just trying to get that stuff off. Surely they can come up with something better. Oh, did I mention that it was beautiful ?

The touch screen is too difficult to operate, you have to be very lucky to be able to use one of the touch buttons, you never know from what angle they would work. The product came in with minor damages with screen being away from its original location, we spent an hour trying to put it back at righr spot, but it still doesn’t work properly. I would return it but too much hassle and wait time for replacement to come in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are remodeling our kitchen, I see this range hood in at friends house and I love it…..! It looks beautiful, it works greats, and the most important it doesn’t make a loud sound when it’s on.

Actually have the wall mount version, but I'm happy with it. The fan is loud at the highest speed, but it's very effective at getting rid of the smoke, so I'm not complaining. The direction say you can put it anywhere between 24 and 36 inches above the range. I have it at 27 and it works fine. Would not recommend putting it much higher myself. Vents are very easy to remove for cleaning. Overall, good product.
