This review is for those who plan on using the Galaxy Watch 7 as a SMART Watch rather than a full FITNESS Tracker.
Got this as a gift for my mother. All heath features like heart rate, ECG, AGEs index, Blood Oxygen, etc. are set to manual. They are NOT tracking in the background. While steps are tracked, workout detection and GPS are turned off. Only certain safety features like fall detection and "get moving" every 50 minutes are on.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth remain on at all times. AOD is on and Rise to Wake is off. She receives notifications on her watch. She occasionally uses the Find My Phone feature as well as Gemini. After initial setup, Contact Sync and Syncing Samsung Health to Samsung Account is off.
While the option to limit charging to 90% is only available on the Watch8, we plan on getting a smart plug to solve this. So far, the battery starts at ~90% in the morning and ends the day with ~60%. It is not used at night for sleep tracking.
She is still learning how to use use the watch to its fully capabilities, and it will be one more week until the watch fully calibrates to her routine. These battery numbers are based on PERSONAL experiences and could be closer to 40 or 50% a day if you use the screen more. This does not include nights.
Tips: Use a darker AOD. Hers is mostly black with the time, date, and battery in a lighter colour. If you have a Samsung phone, set up a routine to automatically turn on Power Saving Mode on the Watch when you are driving or connect to your car's Bluetooth/Android Auto. This will turn of AOD, Rise to Wake, background activities, etc. temporarily
I like this watch, it works well. The screen is nice and bright and easy to read. It’s a lot lighter than my 5 pro. The only downside of this watch so far is that the vibration is pretty weak even when set to its strongest setting. I don’t feel it vibrating even with the band fairly snug against my wrist. Otherwise, it’s a great watch.

The Samsung Watch 7 is sleek, fast, and packed with smart features. Its health tracking and sleep insights are impressively accurate. Battery life is solid, and the display looks stunning in sunlight.
This is just a glorified watch that you can customize, the BP has to be calibrated monthly and the activity tracker for calories doesn't work properly.
I am using my new Galaxy Watch 7 almost one month, and it does what it say. The battery duration is incredible, I only need to charge after 2 days, and it is very fast to do this. For sure, this is a great product and with a great technology.
I upgraded from the 4th iteration, and already notice the speed differences. I use the watch to measure my various exercises, and for sleep. While there is a slight improvement in battery life, from my previous Samsung watch, it's not by much, and perhaps it's because I specifically use it 4 times a day, that the battery might deplete a bit more, but I wish it did last a bit longer. I do like the bigger watch face though.
