Everyday use without fear of lost pictures!

Owned this for a year & am completely happy I do!! The best for phone calls both visually & sound! Compatible for photo exchanges & videos! Camera is wonderful & easy for even a senior citizen like me! Best phone I've ever had! Sound is enhanced without clutter interference! Will pass this on for my grandchildren to use forever!

Polished, and a joy to use

I work as a UX designer at a major tech company, and I gotta say, Samsung's folding phones (especially one as polished as the Fold 5) really nail the "joy to use" principle. Unfolding the phone to that gorgeous interior screen (regardless of whether it's to view a beautiful photo or read a PDF) is just a a magical moment that they've really refined with quality hardware and software (I upgraded from the Fold 3, and the subtle differences in experience really add up).
I deeply appreciate the care taken to balance the experience of the inner and outer screens. I thought the aspect ratio on the inner screen of the 3 was perfect (I'm full convinced the portrait aspect ratio is a better default to open to--I'm happy to turn the phone sideways for watching videos since the speakers as optimized that way anyway, but portrait is so much better for reading), but the outer screen was just a *touch* too skinny to be comfortable. The subtle change of aspect ratio in the 4 & 5 didn't significantly impact my experience of the inner screen, but the extra space it gave for the outer screen is perfect. It's perfectly useable for all of the normal phone things, and has a lot of the benefits of a small phone. This thing fits in my hand and pocket WAY better than my larger Pixel 6 Pro. So to me, the current aspect ratio is absolutely the best of both worlds, and as much as I love Pixels, I won't even consider a Pixel Fold until they release a version that uses a aspect ratio more similar to Samsung's.
I love my Pixel 6 Pro, but this thing is gonna be my daily driver for a while! The hardware and folding experience are just too good.

Wow! I absolutely love my Samsung galaxy fold 5! It is really impressive! My husband and I both upgraded to this awesome phone. I love the screen once its unfolded, its like having a mini laptop! I use the full screen mostly for social media apps, but I can also actually see everything! The screen is beautiful and all graphics are sharp abd detailed! My husband loves his for his games and watching football whenever he wants and not be limited to a regular size phone screen! I dont think we hae discovered all this phone can do, but as long time Samsung users, its the best phone ever!
