Very good value, may need to do some modifying

I got a great price for this SS range hood and installed it without too much trouble. It looks really good and seems to be well built. I installed it in an older home which did not have an electrical outlet, just the bare wiring. So I had to install an electrical box for the receptacle. Also, my house has an 8 inch duct for the exhaust. The new hood has a 4 1/2 inch exhaust duct and is centered left to right, but is pushed all the way to the back of the unit against the wall. So I had to cut into the cabinet toward the back to make it fit. After the install everything worked well and my tenant is happy.

Hood was easy to install and does what it says it doees. The remote feature is nice, I suppose, for shorter people, but I think a bit pointless. Overall, great price for a nice looking hood!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fairly easy to install (as a ductless), but definitely easier with two pairs of hands. For ductless, not all the Cosmo carbon filter kits will work for this model, so double-check the correct fit before you order.
