Great while it lasted - died because of replacable part that isn't available.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this 19 months ago and was great while it lasted for our family of five - whole packet of bacon, pancakes, grilled cheese etc.. Yes, it heaters hotter closer to the cord, but it wasn't a big issue for us. Grease catcher was enough for one pack of bacon, but not two.
Unfortunately, the power cord/thermostat started smelling like melted plastic and smoking - so we stopped using it. I can't find this (detachable) part for sale anywhere, which is very frustrating, as it is a big waste to throw out the griddle for the sake of this failure. Kind of worried what would have happened if we had kept using it and how dangerous a melting power cord would be.

Product is as described. Heats up well. Love the large cooking surface to cook entire meal on one surface for big family. Would definitely recommend!

Large enough for a family of 4 to cook breakfast or dinner on. The legs are sturdy and won’t break easily. I have had other flat top griddles and they aren’t built as strong.
Love this product and would definitely recommend.

This griddle is one of very few we found that is large enough for a number of pancakes, skewers, or other food items at once. It's light and easy to handle and wash, and the price was excellent. It's only slightly let down by uneven heating - the end farthest from the thermostat is noticeably cooler than the rest of the griddle. It would also be nice to have a reversible cooking surface with an uneven (vaned) surface to allow grease runoff, like some competing products have. But overall, a very good buy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cook many family meals pretty regularly, and have used other products with "The Rock" surface material. I was very happy to find a griddle with this surface.
I've used this griddle at home, and was also able to put it to the test when I prepared a big group breakfast (enough to need to empty the grease tray twice).
I think this griddle is great! The only possible issue: the far edge (a 1-2 inch wide area) doesn't get as much heat as the rest of the surface. While food might cook a tad more slowly in that corner, I found I could actually make use of a slight cool spot from time to time. Overall I'm very happy with this item, I had a fun easy time cooking with it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

If I could give a zero star, I would! Cannot keep a set temperature. Even if it could, the temperature difference from one end to the other is ridiculous! Bought to be used primarily for pancakes. They come out burnt or raw - no in between! Will be going to the dump with an explanation as to why it’s there!
