SSD Bargain king

I just purchased a second one of these drives today after purchasing one for a secondary drive in my main computer a couple of days ago. I already gave the drive a 5 star review. I was so impressed that I just had to upgrade the drive in our bedroom computer. Sorry for doing a second review, but not really sorry. The main difference is that this is now the main drive in an older AM3+ system with an FX-8350 CPU and motherboard that only supports SATA 2.
This 960GB drive is a bit slower in the system than the 120GB Samsung drive it replaced, but cost less than I paid for that drive when I bought it. Max read/write speeds on this drive is 225/199 and on the Samsung it was 232/210. It is 10 to 20% slower on random read/writes. For reference, the mechanical hard drive that was the main drive in the system for years is 130/129. Also, both SSD's are 50 to 100 times faster in random read/write than the HDD.
If you're trying to load 250GB PC games, stick to something higher end with a DRAM cache, but if you are looking for a drive to upgrade an old system on a budget, this drive is perfect. I would gladly purchase again, and I just did.

Great product, if you want to upgrade your old desktop and want to keep it because it's working great but you're tired of hearing those hard drive cylinders run all day and heating up your desktop and room this is the perfect cost effective solution for you. Got it on sale and cheaper than a disk hard drive what else can you ask for.Get them also for backing up your old hard drives. Don't forget this is a sata ssd so buy the extra brackets needed for the 2.5" to 3.5" necessary conversion.

bought it on sale for around $55 and I am really happy with it. I use it as replacement hdd for a Mac mini and it made the old Mac so much faster. would recommend any time.

The drive works perfect. Swapping out my 1T Internal for this drive (BY GEEK SQUAD) was a great dissision. My 2 Yesr old ASUS is finally a quick smooth running computer. I do not swear at it anymore, nor are my neighbors complaining about my choice of colorfully metaphors.
Thanks to Bestbuy and the zgeek Squad at Patk Royal.

Old PC Operating Like A Young Puppy!

Very pleased with this purchase. Can’t believe how fast my 5 year old PC is now operating. Got great advice from Geek Squad to replace my old hard drive with this product.

Laptop works great real fast only bad thing was i had to wait in line for 30 min to pick up only 2 clerks a one of the 2 was tied up with a lady with a phone issue tons of other clerks ask to help me but said they couldn’t
