My buddy built me a 4080 super for my first PC and everything was running like butter in 1440p ultra.
Decided I would jump into 4k and was getting some okay fps ... about 65-75 Native 4k and 110ish with DLSS frame generation but deep down it was bothering me seeing ghosting and knowing some games were using upscaling methods.
Long story short I bought this to trial it. No bells and whistles. I don't care for RGB and the flash ... just want raw fps and this card doesn't disappoint. I get Last of Us 2 jacked to the max and clear 135-150fps in native 4k. Spiderman 2 with RT is beautiful and with Frame Generation x1, no upscaling Im rocking 135-165fps.
The screen ocassionally goes black for a second or two, I dont know what causes this, but otherwise the card is really solid.
Undervolted it has never gone above 65C.
Conclusion had I known I couldnt return it I probably would've went with the Astral out of brand loyalty but this card does the trick and my gaming experience has never been better.
I would recommend this to a friend!
