They don’t come with a hook looped safety ,so a non driver as I can easily forget the case and if not in the ears at time of riding in vehicle etc… when off as I did , I was too far away from home to go back . I just took them off to converse and wanted to put them away properly and didn’t have the case as it was at home . We were much too far away to go back as we left for a 6 hour drive. I was out of range in the valley ,attempting to put them back in case and looked on tracking and seen the case was at home . I didn’t know ,an alert system should work for or even a light to alert me . I placed them in a pill bottle and left the bottle or the air buds in the hotel as I used my sisters case to charge and no case left the air buds in that hotel. It pings there yet don’t have them back . It was a recent gift and ashamed to admit it and upset .
First in-ear wireless headphones for me. No more wires or bulky, sweaty headphones.
Audio is amazing. Comfortable to wear (more comfortable than my Apple corded earbuds). So simple to get started. Freedom of movement and surprised at how far I can be from my device. The audio is amazing. Easy to use (mute, control volume) and charge in the mag-safe case.
"Upgraded" to the 3rd generation from gen 2. Had these one day and taking them right back and going back to gen 2. Gen 3 is a weird shape that just doesn't fit my ears at all and I think this is common for most people if you read all the reviews from other sites. Also had troubles with the touch controls, they simply don't work. Sound wasn't great and this is likely due to poor fit. Battery life was ok but not great. Gen 2 is much better for me so I'll be going back to those.
Falling out of my ears (long time user of apple headphones). Overpriced for sound quality. Light weight. They just don’t feel as substantial as they should at this price point. 👎
I’ve used apple’s corded headphones for years without issue, but despite applying significant pressure, I knew straight away that there was no chance of these staying in my ears (yes, I’m aware this is not the in-ear pro model). Also, they are so light-weight that they offer little to no noise cancellation. Apple’s prices are also ridiculous. You’re looking at $350+ after taxes for in-ears.
In terms of fit, I've been using regular corded apple headphones for years without issue but I could tell as soon as I placed these in my ears that, despite applying significant force, they weren't going to stay in. They're also so lightweight that they offer little to no noise cancelling. (yes, I know these aren't the in-ears) Some may argue that a heavy design would increase the likelihood of them dislodging, but I think this would not be an issue, had they been a better fit. I dropped $270 on these yesterday and will be selling them on FB at a $110 discount just to get rid of them :/ also, apple's prices are ridiculous. $350 including tax for in-ears is too much.
