Great Robot

I replaced our iRobot 980 with x40. Extremely quiet compared to 980. Does a good job, very fast mapping the whole apartment. However, filter and bin in the x40 is much smaller.

Awesome robot vacuum for your house

The Dreame X40 ultra is incredibly useful around my house cleaning all the corners. The picture of the obstacles helps a lot and I love to see the areas that the vacuum cleaned on the app. Expensive but totally recommended.

Better than the L20

Coming from the L20, the X40 offers greater software benefits, like a CleanGenius 2.0 capable of vacuuming first and mopping second. It also gets more areas with the extendable side brush, and generally has more capabilities in terms of automatic cleaning and customization, but I noticed it's not perfect when facing all the weird geometries of the house. Possibly to be expected.
I like the upgraded base station. Specifically, the ability to put in more detergent into a reusable container from Dreame's big cleaning solution bottle (sold separately) is more economical than buying little plastic tubs. I also think the warm water washing seems to keep the pads cleaner than the cold water washing. However, compared to the L20, the hot air drying is a little noisier, and the washing is definitely somewhat noisier. It's also disappointing that L20 bags can't fit in the X40.

I bought this Dreame X40 Ultra robot vacuum. Used it for one day, it’s even better than my expectation. The mapping, task management, vacuuming and mopping features are just amazing. Very smart and the job done very nearly. Very glad this purchase and highly recommend to friends.

Not showing dirty spots

Maybe I just don’t know where to find it but it seems x40 doesn’t show the dirty spots it detected. Roomba did so I thought X40 could show it too.

Better mapping technology, better navigation technology, better vacuuming and mopping performance, and it doesn't play bumper cars throughout your house. I could go into detail but the other online reviews have laid it all out. I will never purchase another iRobot product again. The Dreame unit seems as though it's ten technological years ahead of the iRobot.
