This is the first tiller I have ever purchased and the the first SNOW JOE/SUN JOE Product I have ever purchased and I have to say what a little brut of a machine.I live in Connecticut and it seems no matter where you put a shovel into the ground you hit one rock or a ton of them and the ground is so compact we have a lot of clay in my area .The area where I put in a garden is very clay and hard compact soil but this machine went at it like a bull dog !!! what a product -so good to purchase something that works like it should !! Can't say enough about this tiller it's the best 16 in. 12 amp model TJ603E I have purchased !!!
Pros: Handling/Manueverability, Features, Quality Cut, Low Vibration, Ease Of Assembly, Style/Design, Reduced Noise, Easy To Use, Quality Construction, Weight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Didn't expect too much from e!ectric tiller but only had a 20x40 flowerbed to do so thought what the heck. Put it together in 5 minutes. 4 bolts and wingnuts. Flowerbed was never turned in the four years I lived here. Wanted to start over. Plugged it in, hit the button and we tore that bed up in 30 minutes. This thing just blew me away. Used to have a gas tiller and this has just as much power as it did. Just use a cord rated for 12 amps and you have plenty of power. No overheating. Just pull it backwards toward you and it will DIG! Will check sunjoe for more products as needed. Do need a pressure washer. Will check it out.
Product is powerful but I am not sure what it is doing. It took off the top of my grass but didn’t turn over the dirt. I tried looking online for help with how to use it but could not find anything really good and explanatory.
OK, so I have never used a tiller/cultivator before. I live in Florida the land of St. Augustine grass ( long tough runs of root system and river grass that goes deep and is matted. I can go about 20' before the tines are wrapped up in root runs. It takes about 20 minutes. Another 20 minutes to clean the tines to get started again. It would take me about two hours to do the same hard physical labor with a shovel and rake, pulling grass up while on my knees. Age 69 in fairly descent shape. It helps when the heat index isn't 110+. The machine is doing what I need it to do. I would buy another one.
Easy to use and quite powerful, but is seriously lacking guards. Throws dirt all over the place. If you had a big garden that might not be a problem, but then again you'd want a bigger machine anyway!
