I love this system so far. I have great coverage throughout my home and yard. It also handels the slew of devices a family of four has with ease. If you have higher than gig speed internet available to you its well worth the investment. The only complaint I have is that is only available in white.
I had tried Netgear extender but didin't work. Netgear was very unstable, returned the first one and was sent a second one, worked ok for 2 days then started having disconnects again. So far Asus has been 100% stable, great coverage even outside my house
Great quality, It looks so fancy, easy to transfer setting from my old router to ZenWiFi ET8, after connected I could immediately see the different on the quality of my TV, so as my wifi speed enhanced.
Many of the reviews about the ET8 primarily focus on the internal home performance and the great management software. While I agree with the assessments concerning coverage, performance and usability, my focus is external to the home. I am a retiree and spend much of my time in my home’s perimeter. Compared to my previous routers (Apple Airport Extreme), I can travel an additional 30 ft before the signal starts to degrades. This is heaven on earth!!!
To be honest i was expecting better performance. The speed is fine but I expected more based on youtube reviews. I switched from a nest wifi. Its still a good value when you consider all the controls you get. Parental controls etc. I find as time goes on it seems to be getting better. Ive had some drops or blocks but I wonder if its more my cable system upgrading their own system. I have 1GB speed but i get 700 at best. I seem to be averaging around 250-300. I have about 30-35 devices attached so the network shouldn’t be taxed. I think when my own cable system offers above 1gb speed i will see what i was hoping to see. 6e is supposed to be future proof so i guess i have to wait on the future. Don't get me wrong. It works well, but at the price I paid i think i could have gotten the same performance at a lower price like a linkysys , TP link or google nest pro.
