Nice compact trimmer

I have the men's version of this Philips Precision Trimmer, which I bought because I didn't want to pay extra for a pink one marketed specifically to women. However, I was fortunate to have recently received a free sample of the women's trimmer, so I was excited to compare and contrast the two and see whether I was justified in my original purchase. The women's version is elegant and slender, with a sleek, glossy white case adorned with a small metallic pink band and cap; the men's version is slim, short, and matte black. The women's version has a very small cutting blade in comparison to the men's version and does not articulate, making it somewhat more awkward to use with the non-dominant hand. Also, the women's version has one single blade, while the men's is dual-sided. However, the women's version comes with a 2 and 4 mm guide that slides on over the blade, along with a small brush to clean the blades, while the men's version lacks these accessories. In terms of trimming ability, both versions perform about the same. I didn't find that it gives as close a shave as a razor does, but it's good enough in an emergency (for instance, when you shave your legs in the morning and don't notice the little patch you missed until you got to work). Though the women's version is marketed as being for eyebrows and face, it does mention in the instructions that it can be used for the bikini area. I wouldn't dare use either trimmer on my eyebrows, but both versions of this trimmer are pretty good for getting rid of the lady mustache and little chin whiskers that crop up in between tweezing sessions. For the bikini zone, I prefer the men's version for the larger blade, articulating head, and grippier handle; the smaller blade on the women's version seems to be better suited for peach fuzz and finer hair elsewhere on the body. Overall, I don't think the women's version is worth paying more for, but it is still a good-quality trimmer.

Well designed trimmer

I really liked the Philips Satin Compact Women's Precision Trimmer. I was sent this product to review for them, and I am so glad I was. I've used trimmers like this in the past, and this is by far the best one. It feels sturdy, and the trimmer blades are great for pesky faces hairs.
Pros: compact easy to use

Overall, this product met my expectations. The sleek style and design is very attractive and easy to handle. It effectively removed unwanted facial hair, nose hairs and even knuckle hair and left a smooth finish. Instead of painful plucking, I used the trimmer to shape and arch my unruly eyebrows. I received a free sample of this precision trimmer and couldn't be happier, as this is a product I wouldn't typically purchase. I wish I had known about this product years ago, as it would have saved me from the pain and expense of waxing. This is definitely something I recommend if you have unwanted facial hair.
Pros: saves time and money that would have been spent on
Cons: the head is a bit small.

Quick and easy

I received this free sample of Philips Satin Compact Precision Trimmer and was not expecting much from it. Having tried trimmers in the past with awful results and burns. This trimmer surprised me with how well it worked. I had let me eyebrows grow for a month before trying it. I have very bushy, out of control eyebrows. I usually wax but it is messy and takes a lot of time. It took less then 5 minutes to get both eyebrows done. The trimmer did a great job with a close cut that I did not have the left over hair stalk that I have had with other trimmers. It will take some practice to work around that. I tried it on my arm hair and it, again, created the close trim that I would have with a razor. The only problems I encounter was that the cut off hair fell into my eyes and I had some redness at the trimmed sites. This went away after a few minutes faster then the redness from waxing. I am going to keep using this trimmer.

First of all, I should mention that I was sent a free sample to use for this review. I was really impressed with how this trimmer was able to tame my somewhat bushy eyebrows. It is also great for the really fine hairs on your face that you want to get ride of. Overall, it is an easy to use trimmer that gives great results. I highly recommend it to others and Philips is a reputable brand.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Overall, I liked the product. I was hesitant at first to try something to trim facial hair since I typically get waxes; however, I was pleasantly surprised. The product was easy to use although the directions consist of pictures and arrows pointing in the direction to move the trimmer rather than describing it with words. My personal preference is a combination of both. I first used it to try trimming light hair on my upper lip (it is fairly blonde hair that I previously waxed). The trimmer was wonderful! When waxing I often get small zits or irritated skin, but with this trimmer, I did not have any of those side effects. I also tried it on my eyebrows (and admittedly I was much more hesitant about it!). I did not notice a difference when using the extension fully on my eyebrows but that might be because my eyebrows were too `short` for the extension to pick up any. I used it on small hairs around my eyebrow shape (without the extension attached) and it worked really well. Last, the instructions indicated that it can be used at the bikini line and it worked great there, too! A problem I ran into was that half of the head of the trimmer can come off to clean inside of it as needed. After checking this out, I popped this half of the head back on and the product stopped working altogether. I finally got it to work again by taking the half of the head off again, turning the power button to `on`, and attaching the head while it was running. These instructions are not in the instruction manual`s `troubleshooting` guide, so I hope this helps someone out. Again, great product and I want to find a way to get my husband to use it on his own eyebrows from time to time! :)

Compact & easy to use! Does the job well!

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.
I was in the market for a face precision trimmer and came across this one. Prior to using this, I've often waxed or shaved areas of my face as needed.
Assembly: The instructions were detailed, and it was very easy to assemble the product. I would have liked if the eyebrow brush had a compartment for storing it. I kept the original plastic bag that the product was enclosed in and have been storing it in there since I received the product.
Size: The size of the product is ideal. It doesn't take much space, and it fits on my counter top for easy access.
Functionality: The product is very compact and easy to use. I used it on the sides of my face and was shocked at how much hair was removed. It would be nice if the surface area of the product was bit wider - maybe have 2 sizes - one longer and one shorter. The current size is perfect for the area between my eyebrows, but it would be nice if it was a little longer for the sides of my face since I had to run the machine over the sides of my face several times.
Overall, I am satisfied with the product and would recommend it. I love its compact size, but would love to see different sizes and a bag or compartment to store all the pieces.

When testing this product, I thought it was very good. I received a free sample in exchange for agreeing to write a review. The product does its job and that is the whole purpose. I like that it is portable because I can use it on the go. It allows you to be able to reach the fine hair to trim. Overall I will recommend this trimmer to anyone because it works very well.
