I have been remodeling kitchen. I am so excited for the Cosmo hood. The fan is quiet and the light is perfect. There was some difficulty installing. The cabinet we attached it to needed a whole cut to accommodate the exhaust fan.

We had an over the range microwave installed and it didn't help with our cooking smell at all. Specially in winter when we can't open windows it smelled horrible inside. We didn't want to call someone for install specially for the COVID. Tried cooking outside few days - but was getting hard due to cold. I researched this one and figured I will give this a shot as it looked reasonably light for self-install.
We received the unit and it was pretty well packaged with blue plastic wrapped - a little too tight to even remove in some places; like under rivets. But, that is a good thing, there was not a single scratch on the whole unit. We loved it since it was so light and it sucks air so much in a great way. I was able to use my car jack to stabilize and lift it for the install. My wife loves it. It looks super awesome and after the ducts were sealed properly it sucks everything out during cooking. We also love the manual timer you can add up to 60 mins (incremental by 1 min) - so it will continue running until that time. I would recommend this for anyone specially with lots of oily cooking.
