I am glad to purchase the Cosmo Range hood which is excellent for heavy cooking. My wife is very happily cooking good food with smoke free. It is very powerful and strong built.
After many years, I treated myself to anew stove and range hood. Push button controls are clearly marked and easy to use. Filters pop out for easy cleaning. Light brightens up the work area quite well. If I was going to change anything it would be for rounded corners, but that's been somewhat remedied by hanging a pot holder so that it covers the corner. All in all a good buy!
Remodeling the kitchen and needed a good fan to keep everything clean. After much reading I settled on this Cosmo 500 CFM unit. It has more airflow than most units and the filter style allows for any moisture and oils to drain into a stainless steel cleanable trough. It has 4 speeds but only used High once to try it, as speed 2 is plenty for most cooking. It only vents through the top using a included 8 inch diameter flex hose. Attractive and highly useful, I would definitely recommend this unit!
Excellent addition to our kitchen. For those still undecided; two jet fans blowing air out through an 8 inch duct -- its a freakin tornado ! - Stylish stance. Blends well with other stainless steel appliance sin kitchen - Heavy duty and well built - Easy to remove and clean permanent filters - Remote controlled
I needed a 36" replacement and upgrade my 20 year old range hood. This QS-90 has dishwasher safe baffles and a grease trough. I upgraded my wall exhaust duct to 8 inch diameter to get maximum air flow. At fan speed 4, it feels like it is pulling at least 500 CFM (it has 2 fans). It has simple, classy good looks. It comes wired with a plug so you can test it before mounting. Cons: The exhaust flapper vent usually closes to one side, so I easily removed it because my outer vent has a flap. 2 fan motors mean its very heavy. The mounting slot holes are exactly the same diameter as the screw washers, no wiggle room. The exhaust collar is tall, so the hole template holes needs to be elongated to the front, not round, to accept it when you are lifting the unit to mount it. The electric cable has a safety stress clamp which forces it to the side a bit, which means the wire will not easily enter the templated round hole. Could use multiple light settings.
