Great Phone with Battery Struggles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As of now, the phone is pretty good. Good features, reasonable size, really nice camera, and great screen. There are two main complaints: the battery life is disappointing, and the cellular data is buggy.
When we first got the phones (three of us), the battery life was horrendous. After a few software updates, it improved dramatically, but it's still only "decent".
The other issue is that we are all having problems with our data connections. We will have a 5G or LTE signal, full bars, just quit working after a while. We still have a great signal, but it will refuse to connect until we switch airplane mode on and off to reconnect. It's rather frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
