Really good, almost great phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really enjoyed the phone so far, with a few caveats.
The Good: I like the feel of it more than the older glass backed phones. I also like the physical design of the phone with a built in camera bezel and smooth lines. I screen, as usual, is top notch with vivid color and very little motion blur even though its lacking the 4k resolution of my previous phone. The in screen fingerprint scanner is definitely more functional than the previous version that I used in the s10. In most cases, the phone is fast enough and loads apps crisply. The video recording (when it works) is amazing. The image stabilization software is outstanding. (More on camera stuff further down)
The Bad: For a company that makes memory chips, you would think an SD card port would be automatic. Not this year. This generation also did not seem to have any new features that wowed me aside from some slick software implementation.
The Ugly: The Camera is a mess. I think that the sensor is just too large for the processing power of the phone. I have never had a built-in camera app crash on me before, but simply taking a full resolution photo will crash this app instead of capturing you priceless moment. Functionality has improved some with software updates but it is still the least responsive part of the phone by far, and the worst camera experience I have had on a Samsung. (which was honestly one of the things I was most excited for, glad I didn't spring for the ultra)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great phone and excellent battery life

Better than the S10
