I've had Samsung phones for a while now. My last phone was the S9. Really liked that phone until after 3 years the battery would get very hot just looking at news. I'm a mechanic and am very careful to not scratch the screen. The S9 screen was very tough. Never a scratch without a screen protector. Got the S22 and was super careful with it. After one week noticed small scratch in the glass. I was so careful and very disappointed. Had to get glass screen protector for it. This will be my last Samsung. Also, if I make a video and walk the video isn't stable, gets shaky. I've not changed any settings so that may be on me, but overall for me, the S9 was a way better phone.

I really wish Samsung would allow us to have .memory cards back. I have some really great on old cards that I used to use in my phones. Why designers? Why? What is the true meaning.

The S22 is smaller than S8, doesn't come with ear phone jacks, doesn't come with microSD card slot too. You cannot resize your wallpaper on your homescreen and it comes with garbage bloatware. It is not worth the money.

Hi Otto, Thank you for your review of the Samsung Galaxy S22. We appreciate all feedback as it ensures we continue to innovate and improve on the designs and functionality of our products. Continuing what we started with the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, earphones and a charger plug are no longer included in the box because Samsung wants to minimize the impact our products have on the environment. Samsung believes the removal of earphones and charger plugs from our in-box device packaging can help address the growing e-waste problem and unnecessary duplication of these items. I've attached the link to Samsung Support, at your convenience please reach out to them to see which apps can be uninstalled. Thank you for being a valued customer. -Bethany smsng.us/Samsung-Support
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pre-ordered the phone and love it to this day. the screen frame rate is smooth, the color looks beautiful in any light and it feels amazing in the hand. The cameras are really nice and since my usage, I have not had any problems.
I've been a die hard Samsung fan for years. I love so much about this phone but if you look it it wrong prepare for a broken screen. Cracked screen in a case with a screen protector dropped on a wood floor in the house. Humid outside? Screen wont work right at all. Casing is glass, which was a huge shock to me coming from the samsung active line of phones, where the casing was metal. I had really high hopes and this phone has totally let me down on reliability.

I've never been so let down by a new-generation phone. From it's frustrating interface to its intermittent connectivity issues, it's been nothing but a headache that I've wished I could still return.
The performance on the phone would be fantastic if it could keep a steady connection. As it is, I have connectivity issues on every app that I use for longer than 10 minutes. Be it a game, a streaming service, or social media. There are solutions on the internet for this problem, but it started during the first WEEK I've had the phone. Not only this, but you should NOT have to factory reset a phone within the first 4 months of having it.
This wasn't necessarily a deal-breaker, but the camera was a disappointment as well. It boasts such fantastic specs, but the pictures themselves come out with poor quality rivaling the generation of phone that came out 7 years ago. While not as important to me personally, it's still frustrating that I ultimately did not get what I paid for.
A final point on the matters that make me want to chuck this phone against a wall on a weekly basis is the inaccurate biometrics. Good lord if you do not have your finger aligned exactly right with the prompt, it will not work. If you do not press with the exact degree of force it requires, it will not work. It was not two weeks before one of the fingerprints I registered stopped unlocking the phone completely and had to be re-done.
All in all, this phone wasn't even worth the trade-in with AT&T and I wish I could have my busted, broken, S7 Active back because its worth as an item of nostalgia is still far better than this as a functioning phone. If you're looking for a new phone, I promise you can find a phone with better all-around value for likely the same price (if not less).
