The phone is everything they say it is and the only reason the battery life "sucks" (as many say) or the fact that the cameras work great "when they work" is for one very important reason that many are forgetting. It is still so new its still green behind the ears. It hasnt had ANY substantial software updates or anything ither than the "day one" update that literally just happened a month after release. People keep saying, "my s9 ran so much smoother or my note 10 etc etc.. im writting this on the wifes note 8 and its super buttery smooth BUT again, ALL these phones are years old and tons of updates. So cut Samsung some credit where credit is due, they are back ordered due to highest release demands EVER because the phone is soo good and youre mad you have to wait. Grow up people. Give it time.

One of the best phones ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Samsung Note 20 ultra for over a year and I recently jumped into Galaxy s22 ultra. I had no problem using the Note 20. It is such a beautiful and powerful phone. I thought s22 wouldn’t be that much of a change, which is true per se. However, the s22 ultra feels more premium with the design, the brighter screen and the perfect camera ever built in a smartphone. I am loving this phone so far and would recommend it to anyone who wants to upgrade. This is my s22 ultra next to my note 8.

Gets hot,using camera zoom it takes bad photos like the moon and stars for instance also camera switches lenses making it almost impossible to use with a telescope.

Best Galaxy to Date

I pre-ordered the phone the morning after launch event day and received it 2 days prior to release date. Samsung does have work to do with their ordering system to say the least. It took way way way to much effort to place my order. Contact me if you would like to discuss it. My phone arrived when expected and in excellent condition. I used smart switch to move everything from my S21 Ultra to the new device. My experience has been flawless since I placed my order. Every year the phone just keeps getting better. Everything runs super smooth. The battery has plenty of life to do whatever I need to do. And if it gets lower than I think I need for the rest of the day a quick 10-to-15-minute charge with the 45-Watt charger does the trick. I highly recommend the S22 Ultra to anyone that wants a top-of-the-line flagship phone. Enjoy the phone for the flagship it is. If not, you may be better served by spending less money on a mid-range model.

Perfect but camera Overhyped

I have been a Samsung Galaxy user since the s6. I upgraded from the s10+ and the difference is amazing and significant. I have to say the clarity of the screen is insane. Hold it next to an older Galaxy and you will be shocked by the difference. I haven't used the s-pen much, but the latency is almost zero and it is the first pen device that actually feels like you are writing with a real pen. Impressive.
As for the camera, because of all the hype, I was expecting something overly spectacular that was going to wow me. Although the photos are great, my eyes can't really notice any extreme difference in quality. I will say that the colors I am getting in my photos are more realistic than any other phone camera I have ever used. I have taken some 8k video, but don't have an 8k monitor to view it on. I have noticed some delay in 8k replay on the phone, perhaps closing all background apps and changing some of the performance settings will resolve this?
Otherwise this phone is a performance and battery beast. I have had mine on full performance mode and keep the screen brightness high. If I am paying for a flagship model, I am not going to throttle it to save a little battery life. I have not once run it below 15% and this is after a 4 hour drive using navigation and my nieces stealing it to play Roblox for 2 hours!

Worst samsung phone

I always use samsung phone since note 3 then note 8 now S22 ultra and this is the worst phone ever, lagging always I don't play any games on it just use for normal use call text youtube that's all, worst battery drain super fast sometimes on 5% goes off directly, internet on it takes super slow to load and search not recommending this phone to anyone. It have lots of other issues like apps back out itself while using them.

phone does not match the price tag. upgrading from note8 Note 8 screen was better, it was slimmer, fingerprint unlock worked every time, worked without lag for 3 years. This phone is lagging freezing screen feels weird Fingerprint sensor works about 60%of the time screen is already scratched even though it supposed to have better scratch resistance than note 8 Note 8 lasted almost a year before i noticed scratches on it
