The size is brilliant and camera is outstanding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 for a while now, and overall, it's been a solid experience. The most noticeable upgrade for me is the new hinge design — it finally closes completely without that awkward gap, which makes it feel more premium and compact in my hand. The larger 3.4-inch cover screen is a game-changer too. I can quickly check notifications, reply to messages, and even use some apps without having to open the phone, which is super convenient.
The dual 12MP sensors (wide and ultra-wide) take solid photos, especially after some software tweaks that improve low-light shots. The 10MP front camera is decent for selfies, though I wouldn’t say it's the best out there.
Battery life is where I’ve had mixed feelings. The 3,700mAh battery gets me through most of the day, but if I’m pushing it with heavy use, I do need to charge before the day’s over.
The software experience with One UI on Android 13 is pretty polished. I love the flexibility of the larger cover screen — being able to respond to messages or check the weather without opening the phone is surprisingly useful.

Honestly one of the best phones I've had. The display is crisp and smooth. Apps react fast and reliably.
I have owned Samsung products for a few years and always had the S series as phones, all the way back from Samsung 7 days.
I decided to switch because the flip seemed slimmer, lighter and more easy to put away. I was blown away by how good it is at it. For a while, big phones were the go to, you basically had tablets as phones. So when I saw this coming, I treated myself and don't regret it. Really cool meat features with using the front screen, having easy to access apps of your choice, etc.
If you are trying to purchase one, give it a shot, you never know till you try it, if it doesn't work out, we'll now you have a more informed decision and what's better than that. Good luck!
