Now I wait....

I got the Flip6 in September 2024. I traded my old Flip in that the screen had started to separate at the hinge. That was my 2nd Flip, the first had been insurance repaired for a similiar issue. I love everything about the Flip6 and had high hopes for it. 3 or so days ago I noticed that it seemed like the screen protector (or screen ?) had started to bulge slightly at the hinge and would make a slight clicking noise if i rubbed over it. Then last night I opened the phone twice to a black screen, I pushed the power button even though the phone was on and the main screen would light up and function as normal. Then third and final time i opened it to a black screen it has stayed black. The small outside screen works and I am able to make calls and texts from there. I am highly disappointed. Now i wait for Samsung to resolve this issue....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had this phone for a couple months so far and haven't had any issues. I had the last model for about a year before taking advantage of an upgrade deal for this model and didn't have any issues with the 5 during my time with it. I really enjoy the form factor of this phone greatly. The folding phones are something I really like and appreciate the pocketability of. Samsung makes the screens for just about every folding phone on the market so if you are worried about durability going with a different manufacturer won't change where you are getting the folding screen from. I personally haven't had any issues with durability. I do take really good care of any phone I own, however; my last z flip did survive more than one drop making me much more comfortable with the durability of this form factor. This model is definitely improved over the last which has been fantastic for me and can help if you are on the fence deciding to upgrade. The increased ram compared the last model has helped with multitasking which you may do more than you think if you use android auto. It has given a noticeable bump to performance when it comes to little day to day things like that not even counting the bigger more niche performance driven things we do with our phones. The cover screen being usable for whatever app I want after being configured that way with Good Lock is fantastic, when I don't need a full big screen. The phone is noticeably cooler also during basically all tasks showing how much the improved vapor chamber did for this phone. The last main improvement I have seen with this is also the battery. With lighter use,(not hours of doom scrolling or youtube, but more general phone use) this phone can be pushed to close to a 2 day usage when using the cover screen to help cover tasks. I will definitely update and change my review if I wind up having some glaring issues. The honest truth from me at the moment is that I am not really anticipating anything big like some other reviewers have mentioned or some sales people tend to harp on about. I used the last model as my way of "testing the waters" and so far my biggest take away is that I greatly enjoy this form factor of phone.

Just had it for under a month but so far the camera is definitely an upgrade compared to flip5 and I like the screen when the phone is closed where I can reply messages and other nice features as well. I’ll need some more time to give a better review.
